So deciding to get off my lazy posterior, I've been thinking of getting into anime.
What's the best place to start?

Bit of a late response, but I wanted to add my thoughts. It really depends on your taste, but if there was a show I'd recommend to watch first, it would be Cowboy Bebop. That show is perfect and needs to be seen to understand why.

My other choices include Baccano!, Black Lagoon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Space Dandy, and Samurai Champloo. There's of course some of the longer ones like Jojo, One Piece, and Gundam, but I started with the ones that don't have that many episodes. These are shows that i'm interested in, so look into these if you want.
