Seriously, every Gen (except 2) had at least 2 remixes each in Brawl. It was such bullcrap that Gen 2 was so left out. That had my favorite music in the series.

Surprised we don't even have a new classic Mario stage across either versions yet. Would be nice to see a nice balance of old and new games getting representation.

Not hating on the new stage selections of course.

As much as I can't deny my wish to have a Dark Star or Pallet Town stage, it's not that much likely.

After all, they must prioritize over what of their series is more current and popular (hence why Lucina and Robin and Mega Evolutions).

Yeah seriously, that's like the only crappy song in the game imo. There's a lot of great Genesis songs out there anyway. Ecco the Dolphin is a good example, not only for the atmospheric, Pink Floyd inspired songs, but because the whole games where way ahead for its time (ambiance, early narrative & story telling, and just about everything lol), .

And then we have Ristar, which I really love the soundtrack. There's a very distinct style and sounds used for some songs. Tomoko Sasaki composed most of the songs in Ristar, but she was also the main composer for the NiGHTS games. Some of my faves:

Star Humming

Ok, I don't want to spend too much time on Sonic games, but I'd like to pick on Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis version, since that's the topic, although I love the Saturn version just as much). There were many composers for the soundtrack, but overall there's a unique style and prominent sounds that could be found throughout some songs, specifically those that Tatsuyuki Maeda composed. Some examples of my faves:

Rusty Ruins Act 2
Diamond Dust Act 1
Volcano Valley Act 2

Anyway, on Sonic Spinball... Every time if I need to go to options for whatever, I always finish things asap to avoid that song lol.

But this song will always have a place in my heart. It's so weird but I like it so much idk why. I guess it goes well with the tedious level... or should I say game lol. Just makes me wanna pull my hair out sometimes... but that's why we love Spinball.

And I'd love to see the above songs in Smash, even if it ain't gonna happen. I guess you could say it's a wishlist lol.

Personally I'm happy with the Wii/Wii U content. Past Smash games had areas lacking newer/current content. The first two Smash games have a lot of pre-GC content (it was the only content available, but still). N64 got a decent amount of stage content, Yoshi's Story has two stages based on it, the N64 Zelda games have three stages, SM64 got two stages and Star Fox 64 has two nearly identical stages.

Sylph Company had an awesome remix in Pokemon: the Origin and I'm sure Smash could do it even more justice.

Just would love to see old classic locations getting the HD treatment. Feels like a missed opportunity to ignore these potentially awesome HD reimaginings of classic games. Nice to see Wrecking Crew and Great Cave Offensive though!

In speaking of, I find it kind of lame that the 3DS version nearly ignores the Game Boy family's existance, especially since it's the first Smash Bros to focus on handheld titles. I mean.. we only have Dreamland as the sole GB rep and WarioWare (a returning stage) as a sole GBA stage rep... Like, it's cool that we get to see all these 3DS/DS games to get stages, but it's kind of weird that almost every retro stage are actually console games-based levels (F-Zero, Mother 1, Balloon Fight, etc)

Ah well, maybe DLC
