Probably in the American version... like every other character?

It's not that odd to want everyone to speak in a language you understand.

I like he speaks Japanese in all versions, since it gives him a unique feeling that others don't.
Just like how Captain Badass is always speaking 'Murican, even in Japan.

Yes, but I was talking about the American version having almost all English voices. ;)

But he's badass enough to speak English in all regions! Don't doubt the Falcon. Or he'll burn your bass.

Irony: Captain Falcon's voice actor is Japanese.

And also voices Dunban from Xenoblade on the Japanese versions.

Says the Sea Bass
Your bass, not mine. :awesome:

Also, I love Falcon's new gold costume. ...The funny part is that I made that coloring for Captain Falcon ages ago to create this username. I am happy about this~

When Captain Falcon plays HORSE, he says "Show me your hooves!" :troll:

Oh no, I have bass at home. I don't want a hot-blooded F-Zero racer breaking into my home and burning my babies.

So, I got Shrek'd yesterday. The dude was like "SHREK YOU, MAN". So he Shrek'd me up. I Shrek'd myself. I really felt it. Shrek was love and he was also life. But then I went home and I came in like a Shreking ball. Shrektastic.

The End Shrek.

*insert overused joke of me saying "WHAT" in white, all caps, bolded and at max size and including a picture of a certain someone's head exploding here*
The only one not safe is Palutena.
And knowing Sakurai, that was intentional. :nifty:

Funny thing about Smash is that some characters only have English language VAs (Mario series characters, Zero Suit Samus), others only have Japanese VAs (Zelda characters, Kirby, Ness, Captain Falcon, Marth, several Assist Trophies) and others have Japanese or English language VAs depending on the version (Star Fox characters, Fire Emblem characters except Marth, Kid Icarus characters and Shulk).

Meh. As long as he VA sounds like the character, I couldn't care less. But if they sound so horribly off, yeah, then I mind. I would prefer Bowser to actually speak, though, instead of making unintelligible growls.

TV Tropes is listing the clone trio as base breakers. lol

Also, Dark Pit has a minor difference in his model. Check and compare his left arm with Pit's.

That's why I'm so glad that Rosetta uses her majestic, beautiful voice from Mario Kart Wii (among others) instead of her Mario 3D World one. Her 3D World voice is the most annoying, out-of-character voice they could ever give her. The Space Goddess needs the appreciation.
Thank you, based Sakurai. :nifty:

How easy are they tell apart when both metal though? If not easy, it's not useful at all. Something like holding his Staff while idle or a pair of wings would've been far more useful.

The weekend in review

Saturday: I noticed an entire U2 Album was somehow downloaded onto my iTunes account. I at first think I was hacked until my girlfriend noticed she got the album too, and looked up the situation. It turns out iTunes just downloaded the album onto every iTunes account in the world for free and pissed a lot of people off.

Sunday: I had to swap cars with my dad since some idiot backed into my car while I was at work last week, and I didn't like driving my dad's car back to the dorm mainly because his CD player was a piece of (CENSORED).

Well, it's in the YMMV sectipn. Besides, there are quite a lot of people who don't like them.
Personally I got over them because Lucina I was never mad about, Dr Mario was already in a game and Dark Pit's side-B looks SO SATISFYING to land.

How do you tell apart two people playing the same character and being metal? Look at the player indicator.

If P1 is playing red Mario and P2 is playing green Mario and both are metal, how will they tell each other apart? Doesn't an indicator show who controls each character?

For me, the metal Pit/Dark Pit stuff a poor excuse when you can have mirror matches with both players as metal characters and a UI that tells where each player is. If you're P1 and playing Pit, while P2 is playing Dark Pit and both are metal, you will know how to tell each other apart.

Anyway, the difference I talking about was the light rings Pit has around his left bracelet that Dark Pit doesn't have.

I can tell you from experience the indicator does not help much at all. I've played with Names on with two Ganondorfs in Melee. We could not tell each other apart much at all. The model is literally the best indicator ever.

Guess we're in disagreement, then. I never had problems telling similar characters apart. (You know, even with Sonic and Lucario having way too similar colors.)

Ganondorf in Melee has no colors that are easy to tell apart at all. You can barely do so with the Names at best.

Models are the most logical way to go, ultimately. Either way, I stand by what I said here; I will never be able to tell both versions apart bar highly unique model differences. This is my only issue with Dark Pit, though. And really with the game itself(cuts aside, but I can deal with those).

World's latest POTD, anyone?

Edit: concerning look alike characters, there's a reason a color blind rule was implemented in brawl, we'd be likely to see something like it concerning dark pit. (really wish he at least had a different idle stance)
Thinking about it, these colors oddly remind me of the three main Dynasty Warriors faction. Considering the mode is called Conquest, I wonder if it's intentional.
We all know Wei is the best faction anyway.

I played Ganondorf mirror matches in Melee and once again, I didn't have problems telling them apart.
That's 100% why I lost the match. And I hate that fact. But his recolors were severely crappy anyway. All that changed was a tiny piece of cloth that was hard to see.

But some recolors kind of suck regardless. Sonic's are not much better, but he at least has a dark costume. And notably, we've actually had Brawl hacks be used to tell similar characters apart. In normal tourneys only for those using characters with horrid recolors.

Keep in mind it's great you can tell them apart. But many can't. And that is kind of awful. It might be slightly easier this time around, but it wasn't for everybody regardless.

How to tell Pit and Dark Pit apart: Pit's wing's are white. Dark Pit's are black.

So unless one of either character's palettes changes that, it should be fairly simple to tell them apart, I would think, since the wings are pretty big.

EDIT: Yeah, none of Pit's palette swaps make his wings black this game. The most they change to is pink.

Not to mention, their weapons are different colors (Gold for Pit's and Silver for Pittoo's) and Pittoo's Side Special looks different cosmetically from Pit's. Pittoo's arrows are dark purple while Pit's are blue, as well. They also have different voices, so using a mirror match Ganondorf isn't really the same because, well, Ganondorf will have the same voice as Ganondorf.
