It's funny how people got really hyped about the world in Zelda Wii U again when it has been shown before.
It was worth it though.

They showed us a patch of grass and then a single scene of Link riding down a small road.

This time they showed us a Zelda game on the bloody scope of Grand Theft Auto.

Welp GTA V beat ORAS as best Remaster, I expected that but Im still mad.

Not sure what I'm more surprised about, Nintendo actually being acknowledged or that the Awards this year are actually worth watching/giving a crap about.

The awards could have been 3 hours of a black screen, and it still would have been better than last year. With that being said, I genuinely enjoyed it this year. There were a few cringey moments, but as a whole, I liked it. And Zelda at the end was the icing on the cake.

ORAS losing is the only thing that bugs me. Granted GTAV is subjectively the better game, but remasters (if a 1/3 generational graphic upgrade can be called that) shouldn't be in the same category as remakes.

Agreed. Am glad to see the Awards actually being successful/mean something this year, but there's still a fair amount of ironing out and reaching a broader perspective that needs to happen (which this year I'd say was a good step towards).

1. Kirby's 3DS Alt. Trophy depicts White Kirby with Blue Eyes. That is a false model.

And I'm liking Mario Maker a lot more, since the lack of castle and underground levels bugged me, as did the lack of vertical space and the presence of only two styles. NOW ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE IN YAY
