Talking about avatars, I won't change my icon until January 2015. I think it's fine as it is and if I make a new one it'll probably be having the same style as this one.

On the topic of Toads and Toadettes-

I always thought Toad was a species and Toadette just happened to be the sole female within said species.

There are a few other "female" toads other than her.

They mainly just appear in Bowser's Inside Story though. Many of them even appear to have husbands and children, so whatever that says about the whole genderless/fungi thing......

There may be some other "females" in the other M&L games but I haven't played any of the others so I'm not sure.

What characters from Squeenix are even a remote possibility? I know absolutely nothing about Squeenix other than the first two Kingdom Hearts games and what I've heard about Final Fantasy through sheer cultural osmosis.

I can only think of Cloud, Sora, or Geno.

Cloud has never been on a Nintendo console, as far as I'm aware. There's also the problem of FF always shifting protagonists, but Cloud would probably be the "Marth" of the franchise if only for how iconic he is to it.

Sora has inherent issues with Disney being involved with the franchise. That'd open up a completely different can of worms...

Geno... Well yeah.

Chrono Trigger seems to be the best chance of a SE rep, imo at least, realistically with Chrono obviously being the forefront.

Actually... I forgot the SE are also behind dragon Quest which is the most realistic rep for them to get.

After that... I dunno... Bravel Default? SE doesn't have a lot with Nintnedo outside of DQ really.

Yea. I think the gender thing on toads is something more recent and hasn't actually been the true case starting out. IIRC, even SMRPG identified certain Toads as male or female.
