Well Nintendo did state they like releasing their gen systems is Home/Handheld "Brothers" that work together (Gamecube/GBA, Wii/DSi, WiiU/3DS) so NX's little handheld brother is probably not too far behind.

I've given up on listening to NX rumors a long time ago as they won't be confirmed/denied anytime soon and they rumors rarely have anything to back it up.

Well, this has been patented (is that even a word?) so there's at least something to back it up. Doesn't automatically mean they'll use it, though.

The only reason why I want them to show their next handheld is because the 3DS is getting old despite doing well, Friend Codes are dumb and I very much doubt they'll change to NNIDs at this point, and just show new hardware/software in general.

With the way the series is moving, I doubt that would be the case. I'm okay with Pair Up and marriage (to an extent) but can we please, for the love of Naga and Marth's rotting corpse, get rid of children. At least a handful of the kids in Fates are more tolerable than the Awakening kids.

Old school FE is never coming back, looking at the sales of Awakening and Fates. I actually think they'll expand even more on the husbando'ism/waifuism in FE14.
