I didn't think it was sucky, just underwhelming. I respect the plot set-up and character designs, and I enjoyed a couple of the characters (Esdeath and Bulat.) I heard the manga is the better adaption, so I might look at that.

But this character though... she's one of the few characters in general I genuinely hated. They were trying to make her a character who sided and believed on the wrong side of justice, but they made her WAAAY too bipolar to the point where she was just a crazy *****. I even hated her death scene as they failed to make me have a shred of sympathy for her. I just wanted her off-screen.

Y'know, when you're a guy that get's sad when a Mario boss explodes after beating it, to make me actually want someone dead in any form of media is really a feat.

Man, Umineko's PC sprites make me cry. :urg:
The sprites used for EP1 were okay, but the start of EP2.... I can't even bear to look at the strange proportions. Sprite Patch, here I go.
