Ugh, I hate the fanmade Pokémon games that just want to be dark and edgy for the sake of being it. Like, I was watching shofu's playthrough of Pokémon Rejuvenation, and some of the stuff in that game was pure cringe. Probably the darkest Pokémon game there is (or at least for me) is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. That is a prime example on how to do a dark Pokémon game.

I was just listing my favorites. No order. I don't really play that often. I went from playing Gen 1 to Gen 6 so I just went down the list to pick favorites that I couldn't remember. To be honest, I have never understood the draw to the games after the first one.....much like the shows, they all seem kind of recycled with new creatures thrown in to attempt to keep it fresh. that is just my opinion though and obviously not the popular one.

Which is the reason why Gen 6 is pretty much my favorite generation. But I want darker.
It'll never happen in a Pokemon game because death is a sensitive subject in a children's game, but I get fascinated behind those theories of death in Pokemon.

I prefer subtle "oh god why" realization type dark tones.
Like what if the generation's evil team uses Gengar as their mascot, uses that region's ghost Pokemon (there would be a lot more in this generation), and their objective is to kidnap Clefairy. A lot of them. And they never explain why other than their "hidden abilities".
