I've had comparatively bad experiences with dogs, both pet and stray.

The last time I pet a cat, It turned and swiped at me like an ungrateful ***** so **** cats, None of the dogs I ever pet did that to me

They're like that almost all the time when they wag their tail. I don't know. You start feeling when they feel like they're fine with being patted or not. If they're sleeping, they're totally fine with hugs. If they're scratching walls or whatever, I suggest staying away from your cat until he or she idles

The only pet I actually have right now (the other ones I've owned throughout the years have passed away, sadly) is a Blue Crowned Conure, a parrot. We've owned him for many years.

I've owned four in my lifetime, actually.

Two of them I had when I was really little, both named "Rolly Pollie" my mom got me another one as a surprise about a year or two after my first one passed away.

A few years ago I got two more, both females, but hamsters are territorial animals and they weren't trained very much, so they only lived with each other for a few months before they started fighting with each other, at which point they had to live in separate cages. These two were a different type from my previous ones and had a different coloration, we named them "Snow" and "Cotton". They lived about three years or so. I forget when my first one passed away, but I know the second one passed away two years ago in December 2013...

I like lizards, but I don't have any. My girlfriend's older brother in LA has an Australian Bearded Dragon, which has a rep for being pretty harmless to humans and easy to be around, but I don't know if I'll be good with lizards
