Just found out Smash Yoshi amiibo was discontinued...should have bought him at Toys R Us when I had the chance a few weeks ago, but I thought I should find him at Target where he was a dollar cheaper...now the only way for me to get him is Toys R Us online plus shipping for like $16 total. >_>

It even brought back Jet Set Radio. it earns my respect.

He's actually pretty good. He feels a lot like some of the Season 1 characters in how he plays and how much damage he deals, but as of right now his combos are really easy to break and his Instinct sucks.
It really sucks.

I think he's supposedly decent overall. But that's not saying much when the character is still in beta. Because he's likely gonna be very different when we see him again.

And this as well. He's still very much in beta (no taunt, no ultra, only 1 linker, only 1 auto-double of each strength, etc.) so he's gonna be pretty different when Season 3 rolls around.

I already play T.J with a bit of Aganos on the side, but man Rash has stolen my heart. It'll be a long 6 months until Season 3 comes.

The game was praised in pre-release articles back in '97. From what I read it apparently played better in earlier prototypes.

Honestly you've got nothing to lose. He's free for Rare Replay owners or for anyone who's purchased any KI DLC, so it's worth giving him a shot if you've done either of those 2. Besides, as I've already said, Season 3 is a good 6 months away, so you would be waiting a while for a finished Rash.

iirc Yarn doesn't work in Smash/MP10/etc, only games where Yarn Yoshi is an actual supported thing
(Example: Scanning Smash Yoshi gives you a non-Yarn Yoshi skin in WW, while Yarn Yoshi's Amiibo gives you the Double-Cherry Yoshi thing)
So they're just tossing normal Yoshi out the window
