SoraIf Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Who would I want? Oh, I have absolutely no idea... Hmm...If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Talking in terms of personal taste, Jin Kazama or Terry Bogard. I also wouldn't mind Simon Belmont. If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Shovel Knight. If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
I'm particularly against 3rd Party characters, but if I had to go with one, Banjo & Kazooie hands down.If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Honestly? Shovel Knight, no question. If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Here's my list:If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Easily Professor Layton. He is my most wanted for Smash after all.If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Either that means you don't find Brian a good idea(completely reasonable, as his game proper is not popular much), or he's already in there. Can't wait to find out which.None of you really gave me a good idea for the last 3rd party in my smash roster that I didn't already have in it.
I love Quest 64 but honestly he has no chance. If anything he'd be an assist and even that isn't very likely.Either that means you don't find Brian a good idea(completely reasonable, as his game proper is not popular much), or he's already in there. Can't wait to find out which.
Chances are meant to be broken.he has no chance
You can't compare Brian to Cloud. lolChances are meant to be broken.
Wasn't saying he was. I was just wondering if you added him to your roster or not.I love Quest 64 but honestly he has no chance. If anything he'd be an assist and even that isn't very likely.
So much this. I even said Cloud had a way bigger chance. And I don't regret it. I love Quest 64. I don't like FFVII. Bias doesn't change who was truly more likely. You can't compare Brian to Cloud. lol
I don't really consider one game a franchise.Wasn't saying he was. I was just wondering if you added him to your roster or not.
And I'm aware. He's a third party character from a dead franchise, and a company who got out of gaming. He wouldn't be an AT or even a Trophy, nor would it get music or anything. Why? Because THQ and Imagineer don't even acknowledge the series anymore. They barely did. Unless Nintendo or someone buys it, it doesn't matter. However, due to the copyright being up(as in they no longer hold it), they can put it on the VC with no issues. Imagineer, unless they bother to rebuy the copyright, basically can't get money for it. Only Nintendo at best, perhaps.

I wasn't trying to compare those two specifically. I was conveying y'all shouldn't be thinking any character has 'no chance'- especially one that's been on a Nintendo platform. I'm not defending Brian- I'm defending the entirety. You can't compare Brian to Cloud. lol
Quest 64 is part of a 3 game franchise. Quest 64(with two alternate names depending the regions. Holy Magic Century and Eletale Monsters), Quest RPG: Brian's Journey, and Quest Fantasy Challenge. So... yeah, it's not a one-off series. Wasn't particularly notable otherwise, though.I don't really consider one game a franchise.
I think I have the final third party character decided now.
I always knew that Cloud had a great chance. I said for years that Cloud was gonna be in a Smash Bros eventually.I wasn't trying to compare those two specifically. I was conveying y'all shouldn't be thinking any character has 'no chance'- especially one that's been on a Nintendo platform. I'm not defending Brian- I'm defending the entirety.
Cloud is a prime example as to why you should never count anyone out. Sure there's odds, but there's most certainly not a dead line. Not with Sakurai. S'all I'm saying.
Wait it had 3 games? That's news to me.Quest 64 is part of a 3 game franchise. Quest 64(with two alternate names depending the regions. Holy Magic Century and Eletale Monsters), Quest RPG: Brian's Journey, and Quest Fantasy Challenge. So... yeah, it's not a one-off series. Wasn't particularly notable otherwise, though.
That... means literally nothing. Just because you thought he was likely then doesn't change the reality that Cloud was one of the least likely characters of the time before his reveal.I always knew that Cloud had a great chance. I said for years that Cloud was gonna be in a Smash Bros eventually.
Yeah except I did turn out right.That... means literally nothing. Just because you thought he was likely then doesn't change the reality that Cloud was one of the least likely characters of the time before his reveal.
I could spout off about how likely Quote or Young Link are, but that doesn't mean I'm right.
I thought the lack of FF music and content was because of licensing costs or SE being strict about what they can use.Cloud wasn't really "unlikely" unless being from Square Enix makes you unlikely. A lot of people forgot what the 3rd party rules really were. You didn't have to be close to Nintendo as is. You didn't need to have a Nintendo appearance either(it'd be nice, of course). You had to originate in a video game. You have to bring something unique to the table.
Really, at best a lot of people thought he wasn't voted for often due to fan-rules. When it reality he was pretty popular as a choice(Sakurai adding him in due to people's own votes. Not specifically the ballot, but in general. He was highly requested). Having a tie with Nintendo didn't really matter, although it's pretty clear it can affect the content. Note how little FFVII got compared to Bayonetta. If the company themselves are on great terms with Nintendo, it's easy to get more content. SE isn't bad with them, but FFVII in itself is pretty much nonexistent on Nintendo itself(some characters cameo or are playable in some spin-offs/Kingdom Hearts, but that's it).
I felt Cloud had a really good chance after properly researching the official 3rd party rules. He wasn't my personal choice, but I saw him as an obvious rpg character choice. He is Mr. RPG. Just like Ryu is Mr. Fighting.
There's that too, but the fact that there's yet to be an FFVII game on a Nintendo system makes it even harder, since it hasn't "been there before", meaning that it's more special. Thus, that's a good reason for SE to keep the price tag higher, since it's more coveted. Supply and demand type thing and all.I thought the lack of FF music and content was because of licensing costs or SE being strict about what they can use.
Perhaps Shantae. Her games are good.If Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?

That just seems to be a weird thing to be against.I'm particularly against 3rd Party characters, but if I had to go with one, Banjo & Kazooie hands down.
When it came to having a Sony character, I always thought Toro Inoue (SCEJ's mascot) would make more sense. I get he isn't very recognizable, though.I'd also like a Sony rep to tag along. Ratchet & Clank would be pretty cool.
Definitely Sora from Kingdom HeartsIf Smash got another third party character who would y'all want?
Nah, he's not. Which isn't a bad thing. It's not like Smash Bros has to have the most iconic characters ever. Melee claims to have only Nintendo All-Stars, and I'm pretty sure less than half are actually All-Stars. I just don't think Sony cares about Toro enough to bring them to the masses outside Japan. When it came to having a Sony character, I always thought Toro Inoue (SCEJ's mascot) would make more sense. Now they really had stooped to a new low. As if milking the anime with fillers wasn't bad enough.Hahaha, the Naruto company has gone real desperate when they are adapting a random fan's work into a Drama CD. This is Fifty Shades of Grey all over again.

Honestly Master Cheif would be pretty cool. lolMaster Chief
I **** you not. It never occurred to me how much I wanted this until someone joked about it. Will it ever happen? I doubt it, but I'd be hyped as hell if it ever did. That said, if it were to ever happen, I'd also like a Sony rep to tag along. Ratchet & Clank would be pretty cool.

EDIT: Snake would be a cool addition too *cries*
