Now Thanksgiving, I think everyone should get off for that, working during Thanksgiving sounds icky

Well most places close early on Thanksgiving at least. Like 2 or 3 PM.

Every previous year I have told my boss that I wanted to work on Thanksgiving, because of holiday pay. Well, I never told them that was the reason but yeah. I don't really celebrate Thanksgiving anyway so meh.

It's also a ghost town so it is literally free money that day.

To be fair, breaks don't help pay the bills.
Sometimes it's just the limits of the job too. When I worked as an EMT the only holidays I got were during major holidays ie. Thanksgiving and Christmas. And even those weren't guaranteed.

But yes, money is worth it. If it was a hard/annoying job then maybe I wouldn't, but my previous job for the past 3 years was really easy and laid back so I would much rather be there getting paid holiday pay to pretty much socialize with coworkers the whole time.

I have a lot of things I need to save up for, so any extra money helps.

Also, to clarify, on holidaus like Thanksgiving, you are pretty much guaranteed that day off unless you request to work it.

Or the manager will come up to you a week or two in advance and ask if you can work it.

They won't make you work holidays.

I was just giving it as an example really. I doubt it's the only job out there that allows only a few holidays.

Because I have worked myself sick with school last semester, sure it isnt work work and I probably don't have room to say this because it isnt work but no breaks killed me

Well that's what I mean, like no one would force you to work those days anyway. So you'd get your breaks if yiu wanted.

Trust me I understand too. I have said it a million times how busy I am with school and two jobs, among other things. A break would be nice but I have too many things to save up for, so I need the money. I fully welcome holiday pay.

I have to split rent at the new home now, on top of all that.

Sad for Brad Keselowski because he lost a race he dominated

Despite my frustration, this race was one of the best of the season

Mario is Jordon , but the poster clearly says that he's suppose to be Bugs Bunny, and where is Luigi? He's nowhere in sight.
I thought the Year of Luigi fixed this already.
