I'm a part of the "doesn't own the Wii U version" club.
Partly because it's expensive and because I'm not too interested in getting a Wii U atm. Especially considering the possibility of NX backwards compatibility.

Both of them are/were free. Just one required you to spend $100 on two games.

So not free.
But unless you bought both versions SPECIFICALLY to get Mewtwo/the CD, then yes, it wasn't free.
Otherwise, it's just extra money that you don't have to spend, so yes, it is free.

I wish I was more engaged with online Smash 4 for a longer while then I wanted.

I've noticed that I've started to get bored and less enthusiastic too quickly when I revisit old video games.

I do understand. Don't you have to pay ridiculous import taxes or something?
Everything gets pushed by 30% on average. And I am a poor man.
3DS XL is $295, 3DS games are $60, the iPhone 6 costs $850 (nearly a month's income), etc. etc.

Once I land a stable job, I can afford to splurge, maybe.

This doesn't have the songs that play on Miiverse that aren't in 3DS, does it?
I think it does. (Mario Paint Medley?)

I created a Club Nintendo account as soon as I found out that by buying Mario Kart 8 you could get a free game; I got Wind Waker HD.

Then I understood how it worked and managed to get Earthbound, Link's Awakening, Super Metroid, Flipnote 3D and Dillon's Rolling Western :p

I did not play online much because I had people IRL to play with and in general, they are better players; however, at the current time, I can pretty much only play against my sister. She is just as good as I am, we go toe to toe all the time. But playing the same person over and over again can get a little redundant. Fortunately, we each have about ten characters that we play frequently.

I have the 3DS version but i don't play it anymore because of this...

I am using the New 3DS and i have tried to blow the dust of the cart and the cart slot of the 3DS but it still does not work very well.

I have two versions of Smash for 3DS, but I do not play it anymore because I hate it.

It is worse when you play classic mode and it happens half way through. You lose all of your coins that you spent because of it which makes me wish that you should not have to spend coins in Classic Mode.

I don't think I'll ever beat All-star on hard with all of the characters any time soon.
There are just some characters that I cannot play as.

I've only got the 3DS version of Smash bros. I mostly go through online and Smash Run. I'll occasionally play another mode.

I didn't mind the gambling pot they added to Classic Mode. It encouraged me to play Classic, knowing that there would a be bountiful reward if I completed it flawlessly. Seeing the rewards I obtained after every round was also a neat addition.

In Brawl, I didn't care as much about Classic/All-Star outside of completing the Challenges. (Which I never got to complete 100%)

I was addicted to the Coin Launcher minigame in Brawl. I felt like a casino addict.

I got Smash 3DS at launch digitally and I got Smash Wii U at launch retail.

Since I got 100% on the 3DS version, I go to training a lot since there's not much else to do. Wii U I'm still trying to 100% without using Golden Hammers.

I know Iwata's passing has been a big deal for Nintendo, but honestly they shouldn't take out Nintendo Direct presentations because of it. I realize they'll remember him as a video game legend as well, but like, I can understand not doing Directs for the rest of this year because the games coming out this year are scarce.

Also if you bought a 3DS just for Smash you should buy other games lol I play the 3DS version more because what's not to love; elitism be damned. I want the next handheld to be shown dammit. And another handheld Smash. Let me see the hatred of console elitists.

If the 3DS version could get Smashville/Lylat/Town and City/Duck Hunt, I would forever praise Sakurai and the development team.
How many times have you said this? :p

More than 20 times now, idk. Eh, either way I'll step back from posting now. Really don't feel like derailing the thread with my pessimistic posts.

I only play Wii U when my brother is around. It's annoying when by myself because of the stationary part of the Wii U. And not too fond of the Wii U stage selection too, outside Skyloft there isn't a single new Wii U exclusive stage I really like. But at least it has Skyworld, Port Town, Stadium 2 and Lylat Cruise.

No. Your pessimistic posts give the thread a unique voice! I mean, this thread is pretty much impossible to derail. He he he, I say this after we derailed it to the point of locking. T I T A N I C B O Y Z.

I thought they might just retire them until they find someone to do Global Directs and Japan Directs.

Port Town is fine as a regular stage...
But in All-Star, it is the BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.

I play both versions, but I ultimately prefer the handheld because it offers a totally new experience and is something I've been wanting for years to happen.

You could talk about *ahem* Pokémon instead.

:231:
Leaving this here then.
Sources confirm that Ash's Frogadier will, indeed, evolve into Greninja:

Also there's a new Super Mystery Dungeon trailer that's in Japanese but I don't feel like posting it because of media limit.
ok that's that. see you whenever I feel like posting again lol

Apparently you have never played on Temple, Great Cave Offensive, or Palutena's Temple. :awesome:

But serioulsy, I just use Omega Mode, Dreamland, and Hyrule Castle.

I personally prefer the Wii U version because I prefer the controller.

And I like a lot of stages on both versions.

I love the new stages in Smash 4. Most of them.

What I don't like are most of the returning stages from previous entries. They stick out like a sore thumb. At least they brought past song remixes with them.

My favorite new stages to fight on are:

  • 3DS: Rainbow Road, Spirit Train, Prism Tower, Magicant.
  • Wii U: Mario Galaxy, Jungle Hijinx, Skyloft, Unova League, Wily Castle, Garden of Hope

I mostly play on either Battlefield or 20XX Destination... or their derivatives.

I never use Final Destination because the Omega Versions are more aesthetically pleasing and I never use Battlefield because I have Dreamland or Miiverse (dank memes are better than day to night transitions) I almost forgot about Smashville though. I have no idea how I forgot about that one. Smashville is love, and Smashville is life.
