It's probably a combination of the aftermath of the locking, and the school year starting again for most people. Activity everywhere takes a knock around this time of year, while people settle back into the school routine.

It was mentioned in the Robin Thread, and that's where I first heard of it.

No, the European prizes weren't interesting enough for a really long time. You know, things like a Yoshi's Egg Pillow, a Flower Cup replica or a Peach Bag. And I could buy those games on the VC if I wanted to. The only things I was interested in was soundtracks but they were there rarely.

Europe had a very bad prize selection. The only one that intrested me was the Link between worlds soundtrack and also the Majora's Mask lamp.

2) There's rumors of Nintendo retiring Nintendo Directs due to the passing of Satoru Iwata

I really hope not. Nintendo Directs were the best/coolest way to get Nintendo news directly from the company. Even though Iwata was a big part of Nintendo Direct, there's been plenty of Directs without him appearing so killing it off doesn't make much sense.

3) The Wii U release of Freedom Planet might come this month.

I just hope they killed all bugs for good when they announce a release date for this this time.

You mean there was more reason than this to use it? Honestly I didn't even know it existed until it was mentioned for getting a free mewtwo. I actually still haven't taken the plastic off my smash music cd. I guess maybe I should?

If this rumor is true, I suspect they'll have something that's similar to Directs and essentially the same but it just won't be called a "Direct" because of it's now painful associations with Iwata. Directs seem like something they'd plan far ahead, with all the game announcements and trailers all being planned out...it'd seem like a waste to just discard that all away.

I've used my CD a total of 1 time, but it was free, so I can't complain. Once I can drive, it will see more use.
