There is basically two region, i will call them Sorance and Norance, and very few people who travel to enter tournament in both. Not a lot of streamed tournament either
But currently Glutonny is the uncontested first.

This thread is awesome and I really want to commend you for updating it constantly.

Here are some Florida PRs. They're slightly outdated and we will be updating them in a month or so, but here are some more.

Florida is split into four big parts. North Florida, Central Florida, Tampa, and South Florida. Each region of Florida is from two hours to four hours away from each other. We each have a local scene, though we play within each other's scenes often enough.

There are no lists/PR for either france or its "regions". Indeed Glutonny is first and Phogos is probably second, but until now there has been no valid data compilation, sorry. I'll try to get the TOs to do something, it could be useful even for the french community itself.

We have a pretty active scene atm. Mostly on wifi, although we do a national scale tournament like every 3 months.

We're currently working on the PR so when we manage to finish it I'll post it here.

Kentucky decided to wait until after Evo to make our list so we can decide as a state to focus on custom banned or custom legal events. Our top players are different between the two rulesets and it would make the PR really awkward to go one way or the other, but really inconsistent to mix the two. :/

I'll make a post here whenever Kentucky gets a list through.

To get these results we had everyone play each other best 2 out of 3 in a round robin style tournament. I'm planning on doing another one of these before Evo in July at one of our twi-weekly Smash Fests.

At the moment there aren't any frequent Iowa tournaments to draw results from. Just a monthly in the Quad Cities, which is pretty far from us.

Would any of you dudes recommend another method to try and get a more accurate Power Ranking or should I continue doing Monthly Round Robin tournaments to determine our small scene's skill level?

The best way is to get a dedicated panel of top players and TOs, set dedicated seasons, and try to get as much data during that season on the players you think are Ranked and have the potential to be ranked.

Michigan has 3 Panelists, 3 month seasons with roughly 7-10 tourneys a month, and an active spreadhseet that tracks the currently ranked players as well as the players who have the potential to become ranked.

This list was probably decided before EVO. Also from what I've watched, Abadango doesn't place in the top as consistently as Rain, Nietono, and Ranai

Umebura rankings do not take EVO into account. Abadango is also simply not a big threat in Japan anymore. His past 3 results are Top 16, Top 12, and Top 16. This situation might of course might change in the future, but at the moment 19th looks about right. Abadango is also a player, like aMSa (40th in Japan), that does significantly better overseas than in Japan. He's been watching American locals and has been researching customs for a while.

I am fully aware of these discrepancies. I was simply noting that it was interesting how one Japanese player was able to decisively outplace his fellow countrymen in a foreign setting.
