In memory of all of the absolutely amazing and epic tournaments that have been the nor cal biweeklies, im going to host a one time event, the San Jose Memories tourney.
this is a MELEE tourney. if there are extra TVs we can have a TV or two for brawl friendlies, but dont show up to just play brawl, this is a MELEE tourney and there will probably not be any brawl events.
for all intensive purposes, this is basically going to be a biweekly. to those concerned with the fact that the last one got canceled, not one but 2 officers of the CS club are supporting me in showing up, setting the room up, and hanging out there.
there were a few conessions made to allow this to happen, one of which is that the room is gonna be packed up and locked at 11:00, meaning we'll probably start packing things up BEFORE 10:30, meaning all events will need to be done BEFORE 10, and unfortunately exceptions will not be made as they have been in the past.
the officers have requested that i not make this a particularly big event, so if you were thinking about bringing in your out of town friends and such, this may not be the best tourney for that. the usual size of past biweeklies will be fine, though.
we're gonna be there to set up at 10:00 AM, so we'll let people in and smashing probably around 10:45 or so.
times will be usual, doubles signups around noon, singles after doubles.
10 dollars per team, 7 per single entrant.
