Dude, it has been datamined they are the EXACT same. He is an echo because he has different taunts and victory poses, which alternate costumes don't have.

Also, now that we are closer to release, it has been datamined that Simon and Richter have the exact same properties. They have the same weight, speed, power, frame data, everything.

Wait for balance patches. There's no way both characters will be given the exact same buffs and nerfs.

It's not that, it's more being annoyed at the assumption that they will change when they already don't have differences, so why patch them in later?

Because Smash 4 had balance patches that changed character properties. Ultimate will be no different.
