Can someone tell me why they don't use a version of Melee with buffed low tiers?

Nobody wants to adapt after a decade of Fox dittos?
For one thing, you'd just end up with the same problem PM has now with it being illegal and all. It can't be streamed on twitch, the team disbanded for fear of legal prosecution, and even before that the community was always up in arms with each other arguing balance and either demanding buffs or nerfs for everyone and everything. Second is that it'd be opening up a can of worms. Balance is often a matter of opinion barring the obviously broken and trying to satisfy the opinion of the entire community of even a majority of it is a lot to ask. The only way things could get "fixed" in a way that might satisfy at least a majority without any big problems is if Nintendo themselves step in and give us a proper successor.

So can we get an NTSC version? Basing it off PAL was a terrible idea in the first place, and no, forcing NTSC video output isn't the same thing at all.
