Well I mean it's week one, in one region. The smallest region at that.

Six months down the line we can call it a flop for sure if things don't improve, but I'm fairly sure 3D World didn't sell stellar amounts on it's debut week either...and that's a straight and up Mario platformer. As time has gone on it's gained more popularity and sales and spawned this game as a prequel.

CoD IS on both PS3 and PS4, though. I think the person who typed that post on gonintendo.com could have accidentally put PS3 for both.

CoD was realeased on more than one system and in comparison to the other games, Captain Toad ranked quite well for a new IP that's exclusive to the Wii U and as such. 28 k isn't impressive, but it's respectable. Apparently Wii U units moved from 4000 last week to 14000 units this week and looks like Captain Toad contributed to this.

Of course, we should wait for worldwide releases too. It's a shame this game isn't getting a whole lot of attention.

Remember this is the region where console gaming is significantly smaller to handhelds (just look at the gap between New 3DS sales and sales of the PS4, the console with the most sales of that week). Captain Toad is bound to do better in Europe and the NA region. NA region made Bayonetta 2 look somewhat respectable and Captain Toad has Mario association going for him.

I am already asking for a Toad and a Waddle Dee), Meowth... very nice and diverse instead of focusing entirely on the Hype 3. I'm bound to get somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of them.

No, there's like a question when you're filing out the CN survey that would ask you about what to expect out of a future game (Or was it about disappointing aspects you want changes). I am going to ask for Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker for Christmas. Admittedly I don't have a major need for the game, but it seems pretty fun, especially when I loved his levels in 3D World.

Toad, Captain Toad, Toadsworth, Toadette, Captain Toadette and Toad Brigade would probably suffice as pallet swaps too. I'd rather get Toad/Captain Toad in with Toadette/Captain Toadette as an alt first before worrying about the lesser Toads, personally.

Hey! Look! Mailtoad!

How bad did Mailtoad have to be at his job in order to get replaced by Toadette? I mean the Yellow Toad is a lazy sack of crap, yet Toadette didn't replace him.

It's nice to see Captain Toad appearing in a trophy, albeit sad we didn't get a Captain Toad Treasure Tracker design trophy, when we got a Yoshi's Wooly World stage.

^To be fair, we've known about "Yarn Yoshi" for well over a year before it was renamed as Yoshi's Woolly World, so I'd imagine that Sakurai knew more about its concepts by then. Captain Toad really only became a sudden breakthrough character as of the end of last year with SM3DW and made an even more impressive appearance through Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker now.

Also I agree that it was saddening to see that Mailtoad did not return in Treasure Tracker. The brigade just doesn't feel the same even with Toadette seemingly having replaced him. D:

Would have been nice if he at least made a cameo by giving stamps or something within the game...

I'd be totally down for that! I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty sure I'm the one who first came up with the idea to have Toadette as a playable character via an alt. skin of Toad, specifically in the style of Captain Olimar/Alph and Bowser Jr./the Koopalings.
