They were able to get Skullgirls in Japanese arcades.

This is great news. That's where it needs to be in Japan.

Can't wait to see what Japan can do with this game when they have more people playing. Hopefully we will start to see some high level tournament matches.

Encore has arrived for PS3, with the 360 version coming soon.

After all 3 versions have the game, Big Band is to come out in March.

...and Marie 300% mode is insane.

Finally got Encore. I like Squigly, though I wish she still had that air dash from when she was first shown.

Am I right in assuming solos are still generally bad? That was my biggest disappointment with this game, and as far as I can tell they are still just more damage at the cost of many tools.
Well, at least I finally have three character designs I like, I can build a full team now if I need to. :/

IMO, if it were possible to add invincibility frames to certain moves only when a character goes solo this game would've been PERFECT.

It is pretty close right now though.

There's no real reason for them not to have alpha counters. I don't get them, they are just more damage and less of everything else, even total health. Some invincibility would be nice, but probably not enough for a lot of characters, the cast just wasn't designed to fight on their own and many would need major changes like extra or changed attacks that would cover weaknesses that assists would normally cover.

It's a shame, one of the main reason I was interested in this game was because I could choose to play solo in a team game. :/
