Should I use Meta Knight?

He's one of my mains right now, but I'm thinking about making him a secondary, but should I even use him at all? Yeah, I've been wondering is there really a point in me using Meta Knight in tournaments? Sure he's easy to use and to be good with compared to most characters. But when I actually fight a good Meta Knight would I really have a chance of winning? I'm not exactly the best player and Meta Knight is one of my best and I'm not gonna lie, cause he's sooo **** easy to use. But when I think about it, there are already so many good Meta Knight players in the smash community right now. Meta Knight is one of the most common characters in tournaments. I'm worried about 2 things if I use Meta Knight. 1: I'll run into a good Meta Knight player who will 3 stock me; 2: I'll run into someone who has a ****load of practice against a Meta Knight player. I actually have beaten a Meta Knight with my Meta Knight in a tournament match, but it was probably the closest match I've EVER had. I don't intend on maining Meta Knight for much longer, but do you think I should use him at all or just as a secondary? I'm gonna main Kirby, he's my favorite character plus he's seen way less than Meta Knight in the smash community meaning I won't be fighting many people who have much experience against Kirby nor will I have to worry about having to fight another Kirby (too much...I had to fight Gonzo in a tournament and lost). Meta Knight is actually one of my favorite characters in the Brawl Roster, but should I really continue to use him, just as a secondary? Or not at all?

if your fear is that youll end up playing against a good MK, then why dont you just switch to kirby if you get owned by a good MK? Also, alot of good MK players have difficulty playing other MKs... the ditto factor can really throw someone off unless they have alot of ditto practice... and even then, dittos can be nasty.

This is good advice. If you like MK, you should stick with him; he is very good against a large number of characters. As previously stated, you could always switch to Kirby in case of a potential ditto, but using MK will probably improve your playing style anyways. It all comes down to personal preference.

I say play him, since he's extremely fun to play and is a great character. It can't hurt to be good with another character, especially a higher tier one :D

I would recommend anyone to play as Meta Knight to the point where they can successfully fight off-stage for an extended period of time... it really does make it comfortable to do it with multiple characters. Heck, I was surprised at myself today when I was juggling someone with 3 kicks/hits off stage with Squirtle today, before Waterfalling for an edge hog. I felt so sick nasty. I give thanks to playing as Meta Knight.

Lol nice advice, What do you mean he sound like a crap player , i reckon he a decent player. Just stick to Meta Knight and keep training dont worry about vsing other Meta Knights, if you try you might win

Meta Knight is the best character anyway :)

I would say continue to main Meta Knight, but in the case you fight certain characters that give Meta a difficult time, such as the dittos (believe me, I can sympathize with you on that one considering I lost in the last two tournaments I attended to ditto MKs), consider switching to a secondary for those. I'm busting out Falco as a secondary for that very reason + he was my favorite to use in Melee, so why not bring him with MK along for the ride? ;)

Well, I main Kirby, Game & Watch AND Meta Knight right now. So, I think I'm gonna stick with him, but I'm gonna start using Kirby alot more so all of my other characters may become secondaries. Kirby will always stay one of my (if not my only) mains. Also I used to use R.O.B., he's more like a secondary now though (I got owned my an R.O.B. at my last tourney), I might start using him more, he'd still be a secondary but meh. Snake, he's even more common than Meta Knight so I prolly won't be using him. So, yeah, I'm gonna stick with Meta Knight but I won't be using him as much as I used to.
