I've looked through the search but didn't find anything so sorry if it has been posted.

Is there a way to shine out of your shield fast? I always side step and I've seen lots of foxes and falcos do it very quickely.

I'm pretty sure you can.
Put up your shield, then jump and press down b. Depending on how fast you do that your results will vary.

It's the same principle as multishining. You jump cancel your shield, then quickly press down + b. It's not easy, so don't expect a lot of results.

Yeah kinda like multishining, you hold L or R then you slide your thumb from X to B (but press Down on the control stick after you press X).

You will leave or not leave the ground depending on how fast you do it, but since falco's shine always sends everyone up that shouldn't matter too much, unless they DI... in that case you can shine out of shield and wavedash asap, and try to follow them with an attack

Quoted for truth, you can't shine directly out of shield, but you can only if you jump and then shine instantly.

Easiest ways to do it are using the control stick to jump out of your shield then slam it down and press B
Or use the C-Stick for the jump which leads your thumb to B

I don't like using the control stick but the c-stick seems awesome with B being right there, I sometimes don't even seem to leave the ground. Awesome advice, thank you.

You should Jump and Shine. It takes 6 frames, but i'm don't sure... Pay attention to don't Dodge when you press the stick down, don't press it too fast. =)

Yeah if you do the shine on the ground youre doing it properly, really really useful tactic against shield pressuring, especially if they're used to you spot dodging n__n

no probs
