So here's the dilemma. I just picked up Falco not too long ago, but my only competition is a super evasive Peach player, and I hardly get to play them so it becomes difficult to learn his playing style.
I cannot rush him because of Peach's priority, topped off with the fact that he likes to dodge down and immediately dsmash-- or jc grab me, throw down/forward and dsmash/dash attack into a super shifty peach combo that I can't DI or tech out of until 65-80%. Therefore, shl approaches, or any air approach is negated. Also, as everyone knows, it's impossible to roll around Peach, especially when said Peach is a dsmash *****.
Another problem lies within Peach's turnips. If my Falco gets off the edge, and I want to lhdl, or drop-wall-tech-phantasm back on stage, I can't because a turnip has already collided with my face, and another one is on it's way to takeout my firebird/whatever-else recover. The kid is great at spacing.
Fortunately he's not a very technical Peach player, and doesn't utilize her air priority much. I've also noticed that the timing between Peach's air moves is fairly long so I can utilize that to my advantage.... occasionally... whenever the shifty-***** leaves the ground.
Does anyone have any advice or experience when it comes to playing the floating princess of death with a style similar to this? I find it moderately aggravating, and sometimes disheartening that he keeps 3-stocking me.
