ok i no pits shield turn certain recoveries around but does that only work when the recover is just started or can you turn them around any time during their recovery? Basically what im asking is there a specific time u need to pull out the shield to turn recoveries around?

They must be touching the Shield when it is shining, I believe during the beginning frames of the move.

If you are talking about the other characters frames, not pits, then I don't think it matters.

I've Shielded Marths Up B right when he started it, and half way through before.

But yeah, you have to hit the shield when it Shines, or else it just blocks the attack.

So long as their hitbox makes contact with your Mirror Shield's hitbox during it's "shining" frames then you'll reflect the incoming melee attack.

Also, any buffered attacks/movement following a reflection is also reversed. ^_^ Meaning if your opponent does a Fair at you and you reflect it, if he buffered a Dash Attack in your direction during the Fair, his Dash Attack will go in the opposite direction.

What Undr said is true.

I noticed that when I got reflected (can't remember what move I used...) so I somehow buffered a dash attack, and that made me go the other way. (and I went "WTF" because after all my maining of Pit, I was sure it only reflected 1 move....) and... I lost that match -.-

So keep that in mind, because not many people know it ^^ and I learned about it the hard way.
