Could someone explain the properties and technicalities of the shield? Things such as frame data, powershield window/properies, shieldstun etc? If nothing else, I would appreciate an explanation how to reliably shield grab. Thanks a bunch.

what data are you looking for

So Powershields are 4 frame window, 2 if you want to reflect projectiles.

Shield drops are somewhere between 14 and 16 depending on character.

OoS stuff works EXACTLY like Brawl (and I guess Melee? idk i dont play that game), press grab while shielding and after shieldstun is over and you;ll grab. Works with jump too.

Shield lasts for 183 frames (possibly 184? I could have counted wrong) so about 3 seconds

Shield health is different from Melee. They're significantly weaker afaik

Shieldstun formula is floor{[(4.45 + Damage) / 2.235]}

Exactly the data i was looking for thanks!

So you can only act out of shield once shieldstun is over correct? It seems to be increased overall from brawl. I'm not exactly used to it yet so i end up making unintentional actions when my shield is pressured.

that is correct. shield stun is increased to melee levels. if you're having problems with shield pressure (fox, lucas, etc) remember that you can buffer a roll with the c-stick during shield stun.

PM has no buffer so shield grabs must be timed to press asap after shield stun, not anytime while shielding
actually maybe I misread what you said
Also if it was ported from melee, Yoshi's shield actually lasts one frame longer, but what's more significant is that it's unpokeable
