Shiek makes me hate my life. help...

What do i do vs shiek.... blargh i will tear people up and then they start playing shiek and i lose. you should help me not hate my life.

fastfox if the sheik is good, they can smash DI out of the upair. just dont tech in predictable patterns, it makes the dsmash tech chasing easier for sheik. when you get up after her dthrow IMMEDIATLY shine. nair, shine, and use drillshine.

all have to try that out. but no i cannot up throw to up air the people i play agiasnt are to good and di outta the way. At low percents i can pull that off. But im talking more like a general play stratagy like what mistakes to take advantage of etc... because playing shiek requires a change in usalual stratagy.

the only real change you need to make is in edge guarding. It's best to just hang out the edge and just stand up, don't roll. If you are hanging on the edge sheik has two options, go straight up, go onto the stage. Other than that you can up throw and...get this...BACK AIR. This can get them to stop smash DI'ing as it can lead to awful DI and get them killed prematurely. Drill shine to upsmash. If they smash DI the shine too just drill to upsmash, it will have the same effect as up throw back air. Like someone else said, make sure you aren't teching in one pattern. don't side step it will lead to you getting grabbed or downsmashed or dash attacked or something bad. Be careful when teching in place/not teching. You can't afford to get sheild grabbed so make sure that you don't miss L-cancels. That's all I have for me

I know I'm not that great at reading, but I can't seem to find the part where pepper says to run away and then turn and grab...not like that would work anyway.

It's quite apparent from the depth of your advice and general posting quality that you have far more experience vs. good sheik players than I do, so I won't post in this topic anymore, since it's all taken care of.

somebody tell me what is so wrong with running away to get somebody to chase you, and then grabbing them.

I honestly dont get it...In a lot of videos people dash dance. A lot of guides mention dash dancing...seriously ...I always almost get a grab out off a dance dash...every time i dash dance my opponent tries to attack me, then i grab... this thread is driving me nuts...

Edgeguarding Sheik with Fox? lol kill it with Usmash! Also don't get hit, you can laser and dashdance camp effectively against all but the best Sheik players. Sheik is pretty mediocre on the aggressive approach. Make sure you make good use of your jumping out of shield skiziles at the appropriate times so you don't get stuck.

Waveshine = Grab or usmash, same as vs. CF or Marth or anyone else, abuse it when you get it but don't go for it all day. Full hop FF nair and FH crossup Bair is hard for Sheik to counter but also hard to follow up.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

Seriously I LOVE fox vs shiek..Drillshine to waveshine grab upthrow bair or Uair... Nair shine waveshine jab grab or another nair or downtilt into uair..

Fox just has so many combos on shiek..

And about the running away and grabbing..that works. If you think the shiek is going to dash attack..then foxtrot away and you can pivot a grab or upsmash or Fsmash...and if she doesn't dash then no more harm to you...

Don't forget about nair comboing and try to get her to ftilt..she will alot most likly and try to time your nair or dair so that you can hit her right before she can do anything after her ftilt..Shine combos really help in this match-up and I love just jabbing shiek then grabbing or nairing.

And if you can infinite then go for it..assuming you can do it well which everyone seems to fail at but FastLikeTree.

I can waveshine comps pretty well and I'm starting to get it real well in combat but its still not reliable yet. And like I said I cannot get a up throw to a Uair because she will DI outta the way and by the time i get there she will get my with a Nair or a Dair. It also seems that i get Faired outta everything.

Actually, I tend to use fsmash a little in this match-up. It has the range to get cover. I go for grabs, and try to get them in the air as early as possible. Fox's uair > Sheik's dair, but don't even try if they're too far out. Bair ftl. I don't try for drillshine that often, because from my experience, Shiek has a much easier time avoiding it than most characters, but it pays off when you usmash/uthrow > uair. Don't spot dodge, unless it's necessary (etc. SHFFL'd fair at higher %'s.). Wavedash frequently to mindgame her into a punishable ftilt/dsmash, and SHFFL nairs. If the Shiek goes defensive, I just laser spam back. Shielding is more effective than shine mostly, because they tend to needle to set your shine up. Watch early nairs, they rack damage for her better than fairs do, and punish her bad short hop.

You're wrong. Sheik can either jab after the fair before your grab comes out or space her fair well, which won't let you shieldgrab her.

and how do you wanna sheildgrab the fair when you get hit by a f-tilt, d-tilt, dashattack or whatever at mid-high perc? thats when the most fairs hit you
just make sure you have some **** good DI then
