Shiek and Ganondorf Confirmed?

They aren't really "hinted at". If this is true, he pretty much flat out said that they're in the game. Since it's coming from the guy who designs the Zelda games, I have no reason to believe he'd lie about it.

i hope shiek is confirmed but i dont trust that info. Any1 could type that and say its true. I dont see why developers of the game would go out of there way to post what there doing on a website which isnt the official site.

I can't play as anyone nearly as well as I do Sheik, so if they get rid of him (It's a HIM, the eye color changes so Lord Knows what else does, it IS magic!!!!) I'm not sure what I'll do.
Also, my Smash Rival plays as Ganondorf, so it'll be tough for both of us if they aren't in it.
If Sheik is reduced to an Assist Trophy, I'm going to have to kill someone.

I read that interview a while back, and my heart skipped a beat, but Sakurai hasn't said anything about it on his blog, so I'm still teetering on the edge of insanity until something is announced.

Judging from this interview, Sheik and Ganondorf are coming to the roster. I think that they'll be changed from Melee, but how much? Discuss if you will.

that would make shiek worse >.< u can just start as shiek in the begining of the match and zelda can help when ure falling off.

On Topic: I think this interview proves Shiek and Ganondorf are returning. Ganondorf is a major character and I would question the sense of Sakurai and his team if he did not return with a reworked moveset.

There was a possibility that Shiek, before now, would not return, but this is a sign of hope for Shiek players. I just hope she gets underpowered somewhat and is seperate from Zelda. (I seriously doubt she will be Zelda's Final Smash; that would be very uncreative and I would further question the mentality of Sakurai. As for an AT, just forget it. -_-)

You could transform into Shiek at the beginning of the match by holding down A while the stage is loading.

That's because Sheik is the best character for pick-up-and-play. She's fast, she's smooth, she combos well and she has good KO moves. It's almost impossible not to be best with her (until you figure out how to properly shine with Fox and chain grab with Marth and all that good stuff).

Arguably, you may or may not be meant to think Sheik is a guy in the game, but that doesn't change the fact that Zelda is a girl. I ask you, how would she benefit from magicking herself an extra appendage such as that one?

I do see your point though. I'm not saying that I'll curl up and die if Sheik isn't in it. The reason I'm not that great as anyone else is just because I never bothered to master anyone else. I could probably become good as Fox or Marth or Samus if I wanted to...but i don't.
I'm sure if they take out Sheik there will be plenty of other people I can play as. Quite frankly, Zero Suit Samus looks like she might be a Sheik clone in some respects, although that would involve playing as regular Samus.
