I'm just wondering how you guys do your SHFFL Uair. If I flick the control stick for the SH and then press up again to try and do the Uair, I do a midair jump. Same thing happens when I tap Y or X, pressing up that second time makes me midair jump.

The only way I've been able to do it was to slowly tilt the stick before tapping Y, which slows me down tremendously when getting that prep done. I'm just wondering how most people do it.

Yeah, I'm practicing with it right now. Sucks, because I'm not used to drillshining with it.

Edit: I got my *** kicked my a level 9 CPU, which would never happen normally. ****...

The problem is when you use C-Stick, you sacrifice SHFFL nair efficiancy. I'd rather have SHFFL nair than SHFFL uair, so I'm hesitant to C-Stick. Is there any way to do both?

>.> yeah there is a way to do both. for fair uair bair and dair you use c-stick and for nair you use A its as simple as that. oh yeah and dont use fair its just there because if you were to use it you should c-stick it...but dont.

bottom line. C-STICK EVERYTHING!

Assuming you mean you have to move your hand far, you can use Z for nair.

Control stick everything for the win :D

call me wierd, but for drillshining, Nair and Bair I use Z. I also use Z for l-canceling those. sorta like double tapping it. for Uair Cstick works nice, it has more control because if you try using Z or A sometimes the tilt of the control stick makes you Fair, very bad. I also switch my l-cancel to the L button when Uairing. I guess it's just more comfortable?

Nah, I was just using that to measure my sudden drop in skill lol. I have to force myself to use the c-stick, because sometimes my thumb just hits A by habit, but then I try to tell it to use the c-stick, and it just jerks in weird ways.

The knuckle is killing me now.

IT is all personal preference. This whill sound weirder than everything said so far but, i use every single way to do things. Exapmle sometimes i jump with the control stick, sometimes with "x". I do the single hop missle cancel with samus using "y" i shhl u-air with c-stick. Nairr is with "a". And the other air attacks i use c-stick sometimes, and control stick others. Heck, some people learn to wavedash with thee control stick. I drill shine with c-stick easily. When it comes down to it, which ever one is more comfortable for u is fine. C-stick is generally easier for u-air though XP.

Yeah, I used to jump with both X and Y, and do midair jumps with the control stick, but now I mainly use Y. I Uair with the c-stick now (it's so much easier), but atm I'm still drillshining with A.

I can't SHFFL with the control stick at all. Now I only use the c-stick for Uair and smash attacks. I use the c-stick for Bair when I'm edge guarding, but I still mainly use the A button when I'm not.

I don't touch the C-Stick, unless I decide to play one-handed or something.

I use the control stick for SHFFLing everything. I'll only use the c-stick for aerials when I'm doing retreating fairs, something I rarely find a reason to do with Fox.

C-stick is amazing. I use C-stick for aerials, spot-dodging, rolling, smashing, charged smashing, and throws.
