Sheik frustration

Hey fellow Ness players

So I had the unfortunate opportunity to be put in my place a little by a friend of mine that plays Sheik. I was unable to get any video of these matches but let's just say that I was trying everything I could to get a leg up on him but most of the time I was behind. I was just wondering if you guys had any advice on how to effectively approach a Sheik. Any words of advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hard: Double jump cancel everything, don't let her charge needles, don't let her grab you (impossible), let her turn into Zelda, edgegaurd her by grabbing the ledge, making her not sweetspot and forcing her to suffer the lag of her up b, recover from below the stage (not at an 45 degree angle since needles eat thunder). Use fair (but don't spam it) and uair to combo at low percents, if you manage to grab her throw her off the edge (b-throw and f-throw work but b-throw is preferred)

Easy: Pick up another character (ice climbers, fox, falco u get the idea).

hes not that bad thesage. If you have any experience playing shiek you know its better to be safe, and sometimes that results in slow playing.

Look at how old they are. It was before my first tournament, which is why I still used the name "Rapid" on videos. Started using "Emmy" after my first tournament because KoreanDJ mixed up my aim name with my smash boards name. That's why they are absolute crap.

I still don't have much for tech skill now, but I'm clearly better now than I was almost a year ago. I don't have any recent videos of Ness vs. Sheik though, because I mostly use Zelda or Peach against Sheiks now. Also, Ness is no longer my best character. Zelda is my best now, and a few of my other low tiers are better than my Ness now too. (Mewtwo and Game and Watch are also arguably better than my Ness, depending on character matchups and opponent playstyle) But I still love to play Ness from time to time for fun

Also, my opponent got a lot better too. Look up Adat's new videos, and compare to those old ones if you desire.. He doesn't main Sheik anymore, but he still plays her as a counterpick against characters he has trouble with as Samus (his new main).

Edit: I looked at some of your current videos, and you're not that bad. You have the advanced techs. down but you should try to move a little faster with your ness. Don't just put up your sheild for defense, think of some different moves. Try using djc lower and more often. I'll still put some of your videos up since you're still better than most Ness players. It's really hard for me to look through all the pages of movies you have so if you could give me a list with the titles and url that'd be great!

Maybe because I did get a lot better, but i'm still not amazing

And yes, really good players like kdj have no problems at all beating my Ness..

I really do not see the point of you saying that i'm not "very impressive." Well, no ****, Sherlock. This is exactly the same thing as going to some little league game, and telling the kids there that they suck *** compared to the Yankees. Duh...

Now compared to "most players" of course I'm better. Most people who play this game don't even know wavedashing exists. And I'm getting better too. Ask anyone who played me at my first tournament, and again recently.

On subject for Shiek: Bribe your opponent? The only thing I could say, since the ninja is rare in Warshintin, would be that if Shiek goes airborne, get directly under her for tilts or uair, since she can't throw needles straight down.
