I'll assume you're the red Falco in these vids.

I watched all of your matches and really enjoyed watching your Falco.

I'd like to start by saying that match 1 needs a couple more SD's... =p

You have a good Falco. I was impressed with your use of SHL and you showed good solid tech skill. Overall, I really liked what I saw. The Pokemon Stadium match really had me on the edge of my seat.

Ok, so criticisms...

The glaring mistake that you kept making was in your use of f-smash as an edge guard. D-smash is sooooo much better for edge guarding than f-smash. It looked like you'd use d-smash whenever your opponent was recovering from below the stage and f-smash whenever he was recovering from above it...

Yes, f-smash can kill a recovery, but d-smash is easier to time, easier to space and easier to land... You'd have won the Pokemon Stadium match had you d-smashed instead of jabbing at the very end.

Other than that... Your Falco is very solid. Mix up your game a little bit more so as to be a bit less predictable and continue polishing up the basics. You're already very good, the next thing you have to work on is adding depth to your mind games.

Thanks for the comments and criticism. OK, well for the Fsmash...I usually use fsmash when they are a little above the ledge while they are doing their firefox/firebird because from thier position they have four options. 1. sweet spot the ledge 2. go forward and try to hit me 3. angle diagonally upwards to try and avoid any attacks I do near the ground 4. go straight up and either grab the ledge or land on the stage. By using the fsmash in this situation I am able to capitalize on their recovery if they use choices 1 and 2. The initial start of the fsmash attacks straight forward and near the end it goes downwards and can hit them if they try to sweet spot the ledge if timed right. And if they use the other choices, my fsmash has just enough recovery lag to react to what they are doing and try to hit them with any move that seems appropriate. Just because Dsmash is easier to do doesn't always mean its better. Yea, Dsmash is good when they are the same level of the ledge or under it.

As for that jab...I messed up, lol. I'm still learning falco and trying to perfect him.
But yea, im really tired so forgive me if this paragraph makes no sense, lol.

I understand why you use f-smash, and yes it works...

I am definitely of the belief that d-smash is more idiot proof, though. Which is probably why I prefer using it. =p

You have a pretty good tech skill, but you should mix up your recovery.
Almost every time when you recovered from the ledge, you used side+b.
After some time this gets predictable.

how long have you been playing as falco?
I started playing seriously with him a little less than a year ago.

LOL I wasn't really rusty when I was playing him, I just wasn't playing my best. Now I have gotten better. I don't usually do the mistakes I did in those videos now. At Smashtality III, I was playing very good. I almost beat chu and forward. I was able to beat Reik also, which kinda surprised me because he was able to beat chillindude. Reik is a beast with falco.
