Great argument. I really love the way you backed up your reasonings.Dear god close the thread, it wont happen, it cant happen and its pointless...
Saying Star Wars is a movie franchise is very close-minded. The two movie trilogies are only a part of the series- the actual storyline of Star Wars extends much further than the movie hundreds of years prior to the movies and many more afterwards. The Force Unleashed is not part of the movies, nor is it BASED on the movies. It is a part of the storyline that is unexplained and pretty unmentioned in the movies.ok reasoning:
Star wars is a movie franchise, and the videogames it makes represent the movies itself, even if they are spin-offs, adding a character that involves in a game BASED on a movie wont get in, its like we add the female sith from bounty hunter, the ghost dude from clone wars that was a jedi that becamed sith, or the guy from jedi outcast...
seriously the game will only be popular in america and possibly europe, where does sakurai live? JAPAN, if most of the world want megaman and sonic, then theyre the most likely characters to get in, not to mention the most wanted 3rd parties...
we might as well add a boss from goldeneye from GC that originated in that game...
The point that Mandalore was making is even though the three movies game first, Star Wars is essentially cross-genre because of the massive amount of canonical material outside of the movies, especially with books, but games also make up a good amount. Actually, in sheer volume both dwarf the cannon presented in the movies (and yes, unlike in Star Trek, the books are licensed in such a way that they are canonical, as are almost all the games). There was another goldeneye for the GC
oh yeah having star wars in the name means its SO not based on the movies... rite...
Not really, they're independent cannon that takes place in the same Universe, EU might not be as popular as the movies, but it certainly stands on it's own in almost all respects as part o the ongoing story of the Star Wars universe. The stories are about the events of the universe, of which the movies are just one part.so waht? star wars = movies, games with star wars in the name = part of the star wars storyline, adding a character that was created for the sole purpose to explain the gap between one MOVIE and ANOTHER shouldnt be in brawl...
Well.... I don't think that many people expect him in anyway, my opinion is that he doesn't fit the tone. However, he COULD be in, Sakurai said that anything could happen after all.star wars may be popular, but I didnt see ANY SW character on the poll, and sonic and megaman have the top 3rd party spots... so who do we choose? the 2 most popular 3rd parties, or some star wars guy?
Being from the same series and being based on the movies are two different things. I believe most Final Fantasy games are set in the same world but features different storylines. I don't think all Final Fantasy games are based on the first one, although they all sport Final Fantasy in the name. There was another goldeneye for the GC

Actually, Lumiya was not an apprentice of Vader's. He saved her after Luke shot her down and in so doing discovered her force potential, but exactly because he knew Palpatine would disapprove of him taking an apprentice, he had her trained by him as an Emperor's Hand instead.@Zevox: Vader has had many apprentices in his career as a Dark Lord. Lumiya, one of them, starred in five novels, was mentioned in many others and also had appearances in the comics. She also caused a large turning point, in which she trained Jacen Solo (Luke's nephew) as a Sith.
