Samus vs Marth

So to start off I have a friend who uses Marth a lot. I use Samus a lot and I am trying to get my Samus better. A lot of times we play eachother on Final Destination. At first I almost always beat him. I would z-air him a lot and full charge shot him when he tried to edge guard me. But now he's getting better. A lot of times he shields my z-airs and dodges my charge shots. We've played enough now where we both know what eachother are likely to do. Still, I'm having problems dealing with Marth's high priority. Anyways, I just wanted to see if you guys had any advice for fighting Marth and mixing things up on him.

Come up with new tactics. Your friend is obviously catching on to what you do in certain situations. Try to think of new strategies when your friend puts you in those corners.

Has anyone heard of zero suit samus...

word is out that she gives marth a really **** hard time...

Other than that the zair stops their short hop double fairs, you just have to be careful of eachother's spacing. Both of you need space, so be on your toes.

Umm...use F-tilt after your Z-air. Retreat with short hops facing him and z-air him repeatedly but switch it up with missiles/bombs/chargeshots sometimes. Basically, force him to approach and make it seem like he was approaching a wall.

lol, actually you can use the same bomb tactics against MK and Marth. Just mix-up your attacks between retreating bombs on he ground, and cancel them so that you can capitalize on his reactions. Bombs jam up his ground approach, they stop him in the middle of his sword dance, they rack up damage, and they are great spacing tools. Overall, bombs are amazing against Marth (and MK).

I brawled with my friend today. He was Marth, and I was Samus. I almost had lost, because he used his Shield Breaker, and I was behind him and I used my f-smash. I flew one way, and he flew the other. He lost, though for a moment I thought I was going to lose. Anyway, Gum pointed out in the past that uncharged Charge Shots are useful against Marth, because it stops his Sword Dance. Bombs are also useful, especially when your opponent is rolling around you. I've dropped Bombs one way and another and made my opponent think twice about rolling around in the same direction as me.

I'm going to need to upgrade my attacks with Samus, since I feel like I am being all figured out.

Thanks for all the help. I'll definitely try integrating Samus' bombs into my playstyle more than I currently do. As far as using ZSS goes, I really enjoy Samus' playstyle more.
