Personally, I thought it was pretty cool. The only minor (very minor) gripe I have with it is it used fight scene concepts nearly verbatim from Star Wars and The Matrix(es).

Except they aren't. The Halo books are written by Eric Nylund (sans The Flood, which is the book version of the game), and are considered to be a part of the Halo story by Bungie. The events and descriptions are taken from the very well guarded "Halo bible."

Rockets = a dead Chief? The Spartan's reaction time would give them the ability to dodge any rockets fired. "OMG BUT U CANT DO DAT IN DA GAEMZ!" You can dodge rockets, but read the books, everything seems like it moves in slow-mo to the Spartans because they are so **** quick.

don't worry i won'nt go crazy on you.

but (with speedbooster) Sam can run fast enough
to rip through just about anything!, the poor spartan
would go splat like a bug!.

also, she can restore health using power bombs

i would agree i read all the books except the newest one and a spart would totally beat samus but those rockets that samus has are differnt than the Sprinx rockets in Halo. and if master chief got into hand to hand combat with samus he would easily crush her. plus to crashes other post yea a spartans reaction time is slow. if u watch the halo 3 trailer the comercial one it see though masters cheifs eyes and everything is slow
