In the first couple frames of her aerial screw attack, she's invincible. The first few frames of the ground version has very higher priority.

Just thought to let you know.

It is know? I did look before posting. I found one mention of invincibility, but it didn't differentiate between ground and aerial. It seems to be the first couple frames. Does anyone have specific frame numbers?

She's invisible until the attack beings; much like marths UpB.

And the ground version doesnt have high priority; its just quick. It will clash will most jabs....lol

I thought I mentioned this in your other thread at the Brawl Tactical Discussion, Rhyfelwyr. :ohwell:
You mean this?

I heard that any character who uses Up+B OoS if they have Tap Up on will have invincibility frames upon using Up+B OoS, so I think it might be safe to say that Samus is invincible for that time. At the start-up time, Samus' Screw Attack will clank against her opponent's attack if her opponent was going to attack.
This isn't quite what I'm saying. =/

And the ground version doesnt have high priority; its just quick. It will clash will most jabs....lol
My mistake, I meant the beginning of the grounded up-B has higher priority then the rest of the move.

If the aerial version of the screw attack words against the tornado, it must be because the invincible frames let you reach Metaknight before he gets you. Not because of priority.

I wasn't trying to claim a discovery when I made this thread. I lurk here often, and I got the impression no one knew exactly how Samus' screw attack worked.

I tried it by going into 1/4 speed, putting Marth on a platform, and having him jab when Samus screw attacks while jumping at his height.

Note that if you input the screw attack and the jab at the exact same time, Samus will get hit. Because Marth's jab hits on frame 4, this means Samus's invincibility is at the most 3 frames long.
