I'm either expecting this or the Mii.

I'm honestly not to worried about the whole customazation thing, if it ends up being to OP you just don't let it be used in competitive play. But still it could get super fun by playing with totally OP characters you could custommize.
First of all worst case scenario we do this. Second of all we probably won't need to. Sakurai isn't stupid. If any of this has even a chance of being OP he'll probably make a special mode for it, like special brawl.

Actuzlly worst cas scenario is, it is so OP we rage the game and hunt down and burn every single copy in existence and then all suicide. That is worst case scenario. :p

Also just because someone isn't stupid doesn't mean they don't mean mistakes, he is only human ya know. And it has been known to happen for OP shtockle to exist in the past SSB games. So there is a chance for it becoming OP. Espically since when it comes to customazation in these kinds of games it can get pretty tough to balance it out. It's probably about even of it going either direction tbh.

Why is everyone talking about customization? Did something new happen? Personally, I don't think it'll be new movesets. That's what I think would be the coolest thing and allow players to really have the best moveset for their playstyle, but what makes me think that won't happen is that Sakurai said that they already had to scale back because of the 3DS' limited capabilities. I don't see how they could give every character multiple movesets or at the very least one or two interchangable moves if they are worried about even having the same amount of characters as Brawl. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I hope I'm wrong, but I think it was probably some kind of weird translation error when it said "directionality" of attacks. It's probably like...knockback v. range of attacks or something simple like that.

I swear the way people keep talking about the 3ds you'd think it was some leaves held together by mud and twigs. Yes, he has mentioned limitations of the 3ds a time or two. No, if it were really that restrictive I don't think he'd let it hold him back.

First of all nice imagination ya got there. The real worst case scenario probably involves more fire and the return of the bubonic plague, but I don't think I'll go there.

Anyway, you are certainly right about being human. However, I think there is a huge difference in knowing a game or mode is imbalanced, and knowing what specifically about it is imbalanced. In short, he may well have known or at least suspected that at least one of his characters was imba, but not known who or why. That is a far harder problem then determining a game mode is liable to be imbalanced as a whole and just making it a different mode. Though I suppose it wouldn't be so difficult to understand if he didn't make customization its own vs mode.

Yes. Absolutely right.

I think as far as 3DS limitations go, it's going to be minor stuff, like Olimar might have less Pikmin behind him on the 3DS version, stuff like that. There's no character in Brawl that outright wouldn't work on the 3DS.

I wish we get more control of Character instead of settling for default things :(
I hope he put full on custom mode and make sure we can control damage, effect, what input to do what move, and cosmetics.
