Your friend plays a very good Mario, you're not bad with Pit yourself either, nice vids.

So, tell George I think he should try using jabs to shield bait and/or shield stab. Also to add pressure. It worked really well in melee. I used to main Mario, so . . . I'm not saying he has to, but just to try it, and see what he thinks. You guys are getting better. . .hope to see you at some tournament soon. Maybe we can team Sage^_^

Looks really nice. I don't like the idea of shooting arrows from the edge when your opponent is that close. And are Mario's fireballs that much of a burden that you have to shield them so much? It's really leaving you open for punishment. >_<

You use the wing refresh (not sure if thats what everyone is calling it I mean the one where you short hop up b so you can jump after using your up b) a lot. What's your thoughts on it. Personally I've found that its easier to just jump unless they are relatively high on the screen.

I use to think that regular jumping was better then Wing Renewal too, but Wing Pivoting completely changed my opinion.

Yeah the way the Pit community is discovering new techniques is amazing. It's at the point that nothing should be overlooked since a future discovery may only be possible with an obscure old discovery. /random

Jabbing doesnt work nearly as well in this game. First off theres no way to jab cancel that we know of right now. 2nd is that if he tries to jab to downsmash, it will just do the 2 hits of a jab. I'm able to roll away or i just get hit by all 3 hits of a jab. and shield stabbing doesnt work either, I have time to drop the shield and forward smash him in between jabs.

MARIOS FIREBALLS ARE VERY VERY ANNOYING. I'm learning how to get around them better, but in that vid i did shield them a little too much you're right. However, shielding in this game doesnt leave you up for that much punishment. You can basically do anything you want out of a shield now.

Edit: On a side note. When you use the wings you fly a lot faster then running. I'm still experimenting with this to see how it works out and when are the best times (even in this vid). I'm thinking that wing pivoting would be effective if your opponent is closer to the edge (it comes out faster btw) and a normal fair would be more effective when your opponent is farther away from the edge (I personally like the lunge because it sets up a follow up opportunity for certain percents)

Lol, it may be random, but it is true and worth keeping in mind. I'm still trying to find a use for the Up-tilt lift.

I saw the videos, and they're pretty good, but they're a couple things bothering me. You might be using short hop aerials too much, beware of Fear learning to predict it. I don't see very many attempts at grabbing, and where is the side-B? All in all though you're doing very well.

No, I was testing if i could get matches up using a certain way and those were the guinea pig matches. They were saved replays in the day and looking back at it now don't reflect Sai's skill very well. But i'll leave them up there just because.

Also i just added a wifi set w/ rohins.
i'm sure a lot of you have seen enough pit vs samus but its worth the watch ^_^

Yours is better than mine and i admit it. Im too afraid to use wing renewal inorder to pursue the enemy, and you got the aim of a Marksman. That's the strength that we need to have a strong army going. Of course, it's harder to perform such stuff on wifi.

Jab canceling works the same as in Melee. Just jab and then hold diagonal down+back on the control stick. This cancels the first jab. It works better for some characters than others :) I'm just now learning Pit, I haven't tried it with him so idk if it works. But I think it should.

EDIT: Adding to that, with some characters you can repeatedly perform the first jab by jabbing, then holding diagonal down+back on the control stick, then continuing to hit A at a moderate, steady pace. Hope I described that well enough :) it's kinda weird to explain...anyway, see if it works for pit!

This is different than just holding A and letting your character jab over and over. With this technique, you can land a jab and keep hitting them with the first jab if you desire. jab cancel to dsmash sounds nice.

Oh I played marth in melee so i didnt have much use of jab canceling. I thought you just hit down to cancel in melee also XD. My bad. But thanks a ton I'll tell my mario friend that and he will appreciate it a lot i'm sure.

I think pits jab stun is long enough to where you can downsmash before they can do anything. But tell me if jab canceling works out because its pretty useful.

Edit: I've been working with this. And I noticed it has worked, but only cut down the jab to downsmash by a couple frames at best. Plus I'd turn around before the downsmash every so often when I tired canceling because of the new way that it works. Sometimes I also only got the d-tilt in. But that could be just me

okay so i watched match 1 against eggz on lc. heres what i got for you.

I dont think you grabbed at all. maybe once.
Im not saying to use it a lot but you probably could use an AR a couple of times.
and i dont think you ever used dair or d tilt.
