On-site (Day of) Registration fee: $10.00 venue fee and $15.00 tournament fee. On-site (Day of) Registration will begin at 12:00 pm and end at 12:30 pm.
Costume Contest is *$20.00* on-site.

There will be food and refreshments served on a first come, serve basis, so please arrive early! The event will be catered by "Chipotle", so a huge thanks to them for the donation of their catering services!
DJ HERO II RULES
DJ Hero II features a new mode called "DJ Battle". In this mode, participants will face off against each other in a match up that will be filled with custom mixes and a back-and-forth dynamic that will allow for intense competition. We will use this mode for the tournament in order to decide who moves advances forward. This tournament will be single-elimination, so bring your "A" game from the start. The top three entrants will walk away with iPod music devices for putting on shows that are worthy of the title "DJ Hero"!

2nd Place - 8gb iPod Nano
3rd Place - 2gb iPod Shuffle
Costume Contest Rules
t's going to be the day before Halloween, so we figured that we'd let everyone warm up their costumes by having our first ever costume contest along with our inaugural DJ Hero tournament. If you want to enter, just show up to the event (in costume would be great, but not required!) and sign up at the door. We'll be accepting entries up until 30 minutes prior to the start of the contest, which will commence before the DJ Hero II final DJ Battle. Costumes will be judged based on Originality, Quality/Craftmanship, Level of Detail and Star Power/Crowd Appeal. Winners will receive Visa gift cards for being best of show!

2nd Place - $75 Visa Gift Card
3rd Place - $50 Visa Gift Card
It’s October! Not only does this month bring Halloween and costuming, and 2 more S.O.S. Gamers events, it’s also the national Breast Cancer Awareness month. Throughout this entire month, there is an increased push for the education of the public about breast cancer along with an invigorated determination to rid this world of such a terrible affliction. You will definitely see many activities and events from walks to special clothing sales, galas to bake sales and an overall increase in regards to gathering support from the public. That being said, S.O.S. Gamers is going to do its part in one of the best ways we know how:
IT’S GAMETIME!!
This month, S.O.S. Gamers will be hosting 2 events as part of our Gaming Against Breast Cancer Series! On the Saturday, October 23, 2010, we will be holding a Super Street Fighter IV tournament and on Saturday, October 30, 2010, we will host a DJ Hero 2 tournament! As a bonus, we figured that since it’s going to be the eve before Halloween, we’d throw in a bona-fide costume contest along with it. We're hosting the events at the Educational Alliance facility at 197 East Broadway (near Chinatown). S.O.S. is taking over the gymnasium for the events, so there will be plenty of room for all of our gamer egos ;-)
On a side note, if anyone comes in dressed like Daft Punk and plays DJ Hero 2, we’re DEFINITELY taking a picture together!
Full proceeds of the events, including 50% of the entry fees for each tournament, will be collected for donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. You can view additional information about the organization here (www.komennyc.org), as well as donate to their organization directly. At these events, you will be afforded the opportunity to learn about the organization and what is being done to make advancements against breast cancer.
