Okay I agree Wario is leaning very heavily toward the ware games but still the ware games have no villains and we need villains. They may also put someone in from the land games to show they haven't forgotten. Heck they could make Rudy the WTF character.
I think Rudy doesn't have much chance due to WW, and then he has competition with Captain Syrup. Very unlikly, and I have to agree with stryks, not every series needs a villian.

But still there is a possibility they might add him as either the WTF character or to show they haven't forgotten about the Wario land series but you guys are right he has pretty low chances plus there is the competition with Syrup but the nobody knows him argument isn't valid because nobody knew who ice climbers or G&W where yet they got in.

How may times do I have to say this when they someone says: "ICs and GaW and no one knew about them, so theres a chance X character can be in brawl!"... both ICs and GaW are RETROS, absolutely any retro character can get in, cause they represent the NES days of nintendo, look at pit, and hell mach rider, laughing dog, balloon fighter they ALL have a shot, is rudy a retro? I dont think so...

Captain Syrup has cult popularity behind her, so she's more likely to be in then Rudy...

But still, Rudy is more likely to be in then someone like...

Oh, I don't know, that main villain from Wario Land 4. Who's the main bad guy of Wario: Master of Disguise, agaion?

Actually he does, not only is the dog INCREDIBLY popular, but sakurai stated he loves retro character, thus the inclusion of pit, characters like the dog, mach rider and balloon fighter have a huge shot getting in, yet rudy has like 5%...

That didnt stop ICs, GaW and pit (tough pit was very popular and many people wanted him in, the same with the dog, hes very popular and a lot of smasher wants too c him in), I would like to c 5 people that actually KNOW about rudy, and want him in brawl...

Cripes, people, Brawl doesn't need THAT many retro characters. Melee only had two out of 24, and Brawl already has one (Pit) so at MOST it'll only have one other. While that does mean that retro characters do have "a shot", it's "a shot" for like, one to two more slots at best when there are TONS of different retro characters that could be put into it, and that's assuming IC and/or G&W aren't returning, too!

In other words, yes, retro characters have "a shot", but in the overall scheme of things due to the large number of retro characters combined with how there probably aren't going to be THAT many retro slots, it's a LONG shot.

The same goes for WTF characters. Of which there was only ONE in Brawl.

Not that Rudy is a retro character or a WTF character, anyways (being a "WTF" character involves a LOT more than just being obscure. G&W was "WTF" not just because he harkens back from the LUDICROUSLY OLD DAYS BEFORE EVEN MARIO EXISTED, but also because... well, LOOK AT HIM. Stop suggesting WTF characters that aren't really WTF, people!)

WTF characters are characters no one would expect so yes Rudy is a WTF character.
No, that's an UNEXPECTED character, not a WTF character. WTF specifically implies complete shock. To limit shock to simply expectations alone is close-minded thinking.

I'd say a two dimensional practically-stick-figure 2-frame-animation bells-and-whistles-sound-effects character who isn't even really a character so much as a representation of Nintendo's games before even the Nintendo Entertainment System itself ever existed are rather shocking "WTF" qualities.

Compared to Mr. Game & Watch, no. What you described is just a character description. "Clown", "Mad Scientist", and "a cold" are traits any character could have. Game & Watch's bizarreness trancends that. As I've stated, the guy isn't even technically a CHARACTER so much as an entire system, era, and technology given character form.

If you wish to take Retcons into an analous technical account. Either way, it's a hell of a lot more than one dinky villain from one single game.

He'd make an amusing boss. Throwing his fist at his own face was very amusing. But we already have Master and Crazy hand.
