I definitely would say the tail's the biggest quirk for me as well but even then I still like the new design, the dreads also look better in 3D movement.

As for the evolution mechanic, I like Magnes' idea, make it tied to the Aura mechanic but one you can toggle so it doesn't have too many complications. Plus it would add to the mechanic and character making it a great addition for Lucario.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Saturn said he only had one friend...

The biggest issue with the idea of Mewtwo's being a transformation available upon damage taken is that, well, MegaMewtwo is LIGHT BEYOND BELIEF.

In order for the balance to work, regular Mewtwo needs a weight buff while MegaMewtwo has Mewtwo's weight from Melee.
Next, that speed buff people suggest for Mewtwo? Would have to go to MegaMewtwo instead while regular Mewtwo keeps the overall Melee speed.
Mewtwo could get a strength buff, but MegaMewtwo would have to get a larger degree of it to make up for its light-weight.

Not sure.

Snorlax has a pretty simple design and coloration, I wonder what they would do for a Mega form...

Apparently close combat and pystrike were showcased as Lucario's and Mewtwo's megaform signature move so what if for a final smash they would go mega then perform these moves in there most powerful form then revert back to there original forms? Seems like the perfect final smash to me.

It would be so rewarding and exciting to earn these transformations, they could turn the tide in battle or help you keep the control you already have. Lucarios is earned by taking 90 damage by maxing out his aura mechanic and mewtwos would be earned by dealing 90 damage maxing out his (awakening). To transform you have to hit (down taunt currently). Transforming can be punished if done at a bad time, it makes your character better overall in a variety of ways, via stats move attributes etc. when you die you revert to your old form and have to re earn the form once again.

"Experienced" comes more than just physically playing (plus you can play a demo of it on Smash Bros Brawl anyway...)
In addition, those discussions were about Ice Climbers after they were already in Smash Bros and were about that, not the game of origin for them nor possible characters who may or may not replace other characters (discussion Ike vs Chrom in Smash Bros has spawed several times though out this forum when on the subject of FE)

And that one friend is me. :p

I like both Lucario and Mewtwo. Both have cool designs. I don't want them to go overboard with the Mega Pokemon thing in X and Y, as I want some old Pokemon to have genuine evolutions as well.

As for what it means for Smash...who knows? Hopefully they'll have X and Y content in SSB4.
Seems likely, since they had Gen 4 content in Brawl, despite my doubt and worry that Brawl would be finished before they could implement the content.

Please stop behaving so narcissistically. Saturn's comment was posted after 2 of mine. Who says it wasn't directed at me to begin with? Who said it was directed at anyone else for that matter? It makes little rational sense, now please stop being a burden to the others and chill, okay? We'd all appreciate it if you talked to others how you wish to be spoken to, so please drop the "high n' mighty" thing.
