Was just reading more about Mega Evolutions.

Pokémon like Mega Mewtwo and Mega Lucario will harness the power of Mega Evolution in battle and will see their looks change and stats increase, giving Trainers a great advantage against their opponents. Some Pokémon that Mega Evolve may even change their Ability or type while in battle. Only certain Pokémon, under certain conditions, can Mega Evolve, and unlike regular Evolution, Mega Evolution only occurs during battle--once the battle ends, the Mega-Evolved Pokémon will return to its usual state. One crucial element to undergoing Mega Evolution is a particular kind of item called a Mega Stone. Mega Stones are special stones that exist for all Pokémon that can Mega Evolve, each named after the Pokémon to which it grants power. For instance, the Lucarionite Mega Stone will help Lucario Mega Evolve. Mega Stones are hidden throughout the Kalos region, and players must find them to unlock the incredible power of Mega Evolution.

Typical, Mega Man gets in SSB, and everyone wants to be like him.

JK.

It sounds really cool. Something both Lucario and Mewtwo could take advantage of in SSB. They evolve while in battle? Sounds like a new-ish gimmick to me.
... or Final Smash material, I dunno.

Apparently the surprise is to come shortly afterwards not directly afterwards. How confusing!

Wonderful 101 has some really nice ideas in there, even if I can't decide whether the voice acting is cheesy on purpose or not. Five morph abilities at the same time? Very nice.
I like the game, it olooks pretty Rad. But where does iit say that the "Special Announcement" is coming shortly?

Edit: Okay, that makes sense. Its nerve-wracking!

I guess all that Mewtwo vs. Lucario whining fans made paid off.

Now we can have both. AND with Mega Evolutions.

But watch as we later get a MegaZoroark as a three way deadlock to mess everything up. :troll:

The Mega Evolution page seems to be indicating some sort of rivalry between Lucario and Mewtwo.
More reasons to have both of them in the next game I suppose.

I have a feeling they are going to release more Mega Evolutions down the line, it's not like GameFreak to have only one starter. I expect a water and a grass starter to be revealed down the line. Blastoise and Torterra?

What's weird is
Mewtwo - Gen 1
Ampharos - Gen 2
Blaziken - Gen 3
Absol - Gen 3
Mawile - Gen 3
Lucario - Gen 4

A lot of love for Gen 3, further supporting my idea of a Ruby and Sapphire remake.

MegaMagikarp.

Yo' **** has been pwned.
Magikarp has secretly been in his mega form all along, now we'll finally get normal, worse Magikarp. :troll:

Yeah, they confirmed they would have more Mega Evolutions to reveal next month. And I'd agree that at least one Water and Grass starter also getting a Mega Evolution seems pretty likely.

That sparked my curiosity too, I wonder how many other starters could end up becoming Mega down the line. However, to be honest, the only one I'm really hoping for that gets one is Dunsparce.

Just another reason for him to make it in Smash Brothers after all. :troll:

None of you will be able to grasp the true power of MegaBidoof. :awesome:
Hey I found this leaked picture of Mega Bidoof.

Still no one even thinks of Mega Meowth... I wanna cry.:(
It would probably be Persian rather than Meowth though.

On another note, Mega Mewtwo is a damn FEATHERWEIGHT.
It's only 73 pounds compared to normal Mewtwo's 269!

Guess that explains why Mewtwo was so light in Melee. :troll:

Also equally funny is that Mega Blaziken changes absolutely nothing on height and weight.

It shouldn't be that surprising. He'd be cool and all, but anytime anything related to Nintendo says they have a "surprise" people assume it's Smash related and just get themselves all worked up and excited only to be let down. It very rarely is actually Smash related, hopefully people eventually realize that.

That said, W101 definitely will get some content in SSB4, just not playable content, so at least there's that.

Blaziken is already the lightest starter evolution so far (just an ounce or so lighter than Sceptile, in close second), so I guess there's no need. xP

Not sure about "Wonder Red", as I haven't looked into Wondeful 101 too much.

i was under the impression that they specifically played to that, knowing people would think it would be smash-related. sure, they'd be disappointed, but they may find themselves having an interest in the game.

Still up Peach's dress.
Am I the only one who thinks all of the mega forms will be of fully evolved Pokemon...AND Pikachu?

Also it sucks that Meowth gets no love, but this pretty much nails his coffin shut for Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS. One day Meowth...one day you'll get to hit people with your guitar, or smash them with a mecha or blast off again. But in Smash Bros. Maybe.

It's never gonna happen is it?

While we have some sort of idea of how veterans will be shown, we still have no idea how newcomers are going to be revealed. I think it's kinda strange.

I mean, while it's nice to see Luigi in HD, I want to see characters that will get me hyped. I want to see something new. It's not like anybody thought Luigi wouldn't make it.

Really at this point, I just want to see any character that might be on the chopping block get revealed (Lucario, Ike, etc...) or a new guy. But if we go off the pattern that may exist, we probably won't see that anytime soon.
