See, personally I haven't really seen anything that makes Anna stand out. Meanwhile, I've seen ideas, movesets, and other stuff that make Lyn an interesting and unique character.

Well, Anna is a Trickster, which gives her a unique sword fighting style seen in Awakening that makes use of holding the sword upside down and doing multiple side flips in the air.

It also allows her to make use of Fire Emblem's library of staves; perhaps she could use Ward or Rescue as Special Moves, not to mention skills obtained through the Thief class line, such as Lethality as a potential Final Smash.

You might even be able to do something with the fact that she has countless identical sisters. Maybe something akin to the Double Cherry from Mario 3D World?

Just some things that came to mind immediately.

I could probably do it, but since it's not Chrom or Avatar, I don't think I care enough to. Even so, I think it's as much of, if not MORE of, any potential basis as one could make for Lyn by comparison.

Actually Duck Hunt's the only retro IP I have any experience with now that Ice Climbers and Pit are already in Smash and Little Mac no longer counts as a retro. I guess I'd side with Lip, purely because she's not Takamaru.

Hakkun looks interesting, but I'm really clueless about what he can do.

Where is this picture from ? Actually, I didn't even know that Duck Hunt was Nintendo's IP. Did we had trophies and/or stickers of him in brawl ?

Hakkun can have a gameplay based on colors and cubes, as in his game, he had to suck with his weird nose, color and cubes to complete levels. It's up to Sakurai wether he want to create an unique gameplay or a basic one.

Fire Emblem wise, I think they should just leave it as Marth and Ike - the series doesn't need more representation really. Or maybe they could bring Roy back as well so they can appease a lot of fans while still not having to put much effort into it.

Personally, I would like Hakkun, because of the gameplay he can bring, and because he's obscure^^

And for the other character, hard to choose between Lip and Takamaru.

As long as we keep Ike, I'm fine with pretty much any Fire Emblem choice. Lyn included. But if Roy came back and was guaranteed to be more original than before, then perhaps I would prefer him to be chosen. But that's a pretty big if anyhow.

P.S blaziken should be playable by itself and I'm not even a blaziken fan (sceptile ftw ). Pokemon needs a diverse roster of unexpectedness

Personally, I would like it if they unexpectedly added Pokemon Trainer May with Mudkip, Grovyle, and Blaziken... or Team Rocket with Meowth, Arbok, and Weezing... or Zoroark... or anyone who is not a Pokemon veteran.

One thing is for sure, you can probably eliminate minor Nintendo characters of a popular franchise like Goombella, or Zant, or Magikarp on a roster.

I would say that Little Mac, Mewtwo, Palutena, and a DK rep are locks for me.
Ridley I'm still on and off about, but I always keep him on my roster anyway.

Actually, I was one of the only ones to have Rosalina in my roster. This is the achievement of my life, and one day I'll tell my children "Y'know, one day I predicted Sakurai" and the will be fascinated .

same here plus remember in brawl it was full of predictables, diddy, wario, toon link, Meta Knight, king dedede, Wolf, olimar, Ike and sonic after snake was revealed
