People thinking Noel is disturbing? What?
IKR

Like... what the hell man.
What's disturbing about a cute girl with guns that can give you diabetus just by speaking...?

when then I guess that is your opinion then mate, me personally like the smash formula and would prefer if not to many *foreign* elements get added, in smash

Smash needs more Katana girls too.

Well... Manly made this thread way more interesting than it needed to be.
Noel is fine. And I mean that in both senses.

I don't see how that breaks balance...

It's just a diversity of attacks.

If KOS-MOS is game breaking, then so is MegaMan...

Guess MegaMan won't ever be in Smash Bros... OH WAIT!

Let me break it down to you:

Mega Man, from what I see in the trailers, seems less combo-oriented than normal for a game like this. Most of his moves, like the arm-cannon, slide, Metal Blade, Crash-bomb, Mega-upper, etc. don't seem to have that much knockback associated with them, if I remember the videos correctly. He's mostly going to end up damage racking from afar, then carefully going in for the kill, possibly also from afar. His only kill moves that I can see would be the Charge Shot and Meteor Smashing with the Hard Knuckle. He won't be able to handle pressure well, especially up close.

When I said she would be like Meta Knight, I meant that he is a combo-king. It's pretty clear to me, at least, that he was designed to just flat out overwhelm you with one attack after another before you even have a chance to properly respond. His lack of projectiles forces him into giving the opponent the ability to counter and defend himself before Meta Knight makes his approach. Once he does manage to get in, though, expect your damage to skyrocket.

What happens when we combine the two, then? We get a character that can damage rack right next to you and from the opposite side of the arena. Get up close, and KOS-MOS will combo you until she knocks you away, then continue comboing with projectiles. Stay away, and she will hit you with projectiles, rush in, and combo you anyway. It's loose-loose, the way I see it. There's no obvious weaknesses to her, except maybe "can't KO," but when your damaging ability is this good it shouldn't be a problem..

so okay then new topic:
how would you guys react if pichu was revealed to be in smash4
but except this time that he'll be a duo with another pichu, he'll have the same properties (use electricity, hurt yourself) but instead this time he'll have a buddy with him.

Pichu disconfirmed for Smash Bros for 3DS.

At this point I would prefer for them to had a Plusle and Minun duo.

I'd only be happy if the two Pichus were the Spiky-eared Pichu and the Pikachu-colored Pichu.

I'd prefer Plusle & Minun, but I'd take those two Pichus as well.

If it's just two generic Pichus I'd be a bit upset. Yet, at the same time happy, because Pichu would be back.

While that might be true, it's possible they'll adjust her attributes properly.

For example, they can make one of her projectiles deal no knockback, low damage and just "push" her opponent, but still shoot on rapid-fire rounds and from any angle, kind of like an upgraded Fox Blaster. Or have one of theme be a homing shot, but make it poor ranged. Or I dunno, something.

I mean, they're not just gonna going to create another broken mess after what happened with Meta Knight.

ya I agree with ya there mate, if there was a pichu duo it would have to be the spiky-eared pichu and then some other pichu, maybe the spiky-eared one should be the one the players control and the other one should act like nana

I do not see Pichu coming back. I feel like the whole "relevance" argument actually matters for series like Pokemon, where several new characters are added for every new game. Pichu is no longer a relevant character in the Pokemon world. Some people try to use that same argument for Lucario and Jigglypuff, however, both are still used to promote Pokemon, Pichu is not.

Yeah, if they deliberately took out Pichu, I do not see a reappearance from him. Besides, he has way too much competition from newcomers and returning vets.

Oh, 2000 posts. Cool.

I do not see Roy coming back. I feel like the whole "relevance" argument actually matters for a series like Fire Emblem, where an entirely new cast of characters is in each game. Roy is no longer a relevant character in the Fire Emblem world. Some people try to use that same argument for Ike, however, Ike is still used to promote Fire Emblem, Roy is not.

...I don't advocate for Pichu or against Roy, but...it IS a slight double standard if we're going to generalize that relevance matters in a series with changing characters, especially the Pokemon world, where every Pokemon is about equally usable and available.

Sorry if that came off as rude!

Dancers would bring a new graceful playstyle to the Smash Bros. world. :awesome:

Totally graceful.
