Well I'm pretty sure most people know that pressing the shield button while hanging on an edge will make you roll while coming back on the stage.
I believe it is kind of useful even though its not the first thing that comes to your mind.
Example: Your opponent is charging up a smash on the edge. If you attack from the edge it will hit you. For the sake of it lets just say it will also hit you if you continue hanging from the edge.
By using the shield button, you can cover more distance and still have that bit of invincibly.
Yet I never see this used...
Why is this rarely used in competitive play? Is it bad?
I still have to admit, I don't use it often either....
