ROB's Up-B, his recovery move, has a level of fuel that depletes as he uses it, right? I'm proposing a new, preposterous theory about this move. My theory is that Sakurai predicted Chibo raging about MK and believing it's hopeless. He predicted this and as such secretly named ROB's fuel his "Hope meter". Here's how it works:
"Hi, my name is ROB! The match just started and I have full fuel. There's plenty of hope."
"I just recovered and lost some fuel. There's still hope, but some of it is lost."
"I made it back on stage safely and fended off the ledge-guard. All hope is restored!"
"I've been ledgeguarded three times and I'm out of fuel. It's hopeless. "
