rob's down smash is broken

when anyone tries to attack you just shield and smash down, they can't escape. I beat a guy once only spamming that one move the whole time.

yes its a fine move, just dont overdo it XD you'll lose the effectiveness of its strength and knock back.

better players will find a way around it.

It's the ultimate way to punish roll spammers, but IDK about broken. =P

if you beat someone by only doing the d-smash then you need some better people to play against.

Yeah it's a good move no doubt, but the move decay in this game will have you shooting yourself in the foot if you keep spamming it. Also, with certain characters, it will do a lot less damage and knockback if they get hit a certain way and/or DI correctly when hit by it.

that guy probably sucks considering he couldn't get around it. its not hard to get around if you know what your doing/if ur not noob.

It is good, and I dont agree that you shouldnt spam it. If someone is getting caught by it alot, then abuse it when you can. The damage and knockback will start to decay, but why use that move for kills when there are better options? If anything, the reduced knockback allows you to use this move for what its really good for, clearing space and then following up. So my vote is SPAM SPAM SPAM!!

spam it, if you win good, if you lose then too bad. sometimes its good to be careless. now you know that downsmash is really good.

It's certainly a good move, but I wouldn't say broken. I've got to agree with mossdog on this one, you need some better opponents.

I'd never say it was broken, but it does set up for one of the Metallic Menace's big strengths, air battles.
