This had better not be patched -_-
There's no glitch here. The home button as well as the software is working as intended, because the home button is supposed to suspend software, and software is supposed to be suspended while in the home menu.Hopefully we'll still be able to do it still when the US version is released.
It's called pause buffering. It's an extremely common speedrun strat. So does this have a name? Techniques like this always get a fan name in these types of situations. Do we name it after him? Like the NinjaLeak Maneuver or something silly like that?
Either way I'm so happy to see an answer to the part of the game I was most dreading.
Didn't people say the same thing about Wavedashing? There's no glitch here. The home button as well as the software is working as intended, because the home button is supposed to suspend software, and software is supposed to be suspended while in the home menu.

No. The evidence for wavedashing being intended is stronger than the argument i posted for this, considering it came straight out of sakurais mouth.Didn't people say the same thing about Wavedashing?

Still, getting 3 at a time is pretty good.Unfortunately it doesn't just unlock Custom Moves - it can also be equipment, Mii stuff like hats etc. Which means there is still a random factor to this, sometimes you get a lot and sometimes barely nothing.
I forgot who it was, but one of the streamers (maybe Zipzo or NinjaLink) was talking about how you lose more items the further you are in Classic Mode. But if you lose right on match 2, it's early enough that you don't lose anything from match 1. So you can suicide after 1 match to get 3 items at a time.Do you keep all items you get if you lose and don't continue? If so then it might be faster to just suicide during master hand so you don't have to fight him and sit through the ending credits every time.
There's nothing to patch here unless they make it so you can't go to the home menu. (which is just not gonna happen.)This had better not be patched -_-
Ooohh, merged threads, thanks!
Depends on how the Code is.By the way in an annotation, he said this can't be patched, but I think it can... When you press the home button it could just reset the roulette, shouldn't be a hard patch right?
Problem is that you don't get 3 custom moves though. You can get 3 of custom moves, custom equipment and mii equipment.So. Let's say that you play on Classic mode on the intensity that gives you 3 custom moves and you get that every stage, and that you play 5 stages in classic mode. There are a total of 306 custom moves to unlock. And there are repeats as well. Let's say custom moves are completely random(Which they are not). 306/15= 20.4. But there are repeats. so, we must multiply it times 3 to account for the average of repeats you will get. So, on average, you will need to play classic mode only 60 times to unlock all of the custom moves. You only need to play classic mode with every character plus 9 additional times to unlock all of the custom moves solely in classic mode.
Relax my brotherThis had better not be patched -_-
