Reverse Thunder's Combo? What's there to reverse? It's basically a bunch of specific moves chained together to beat up a shine-faller. Thunder's Combo allows flexibility in which move you use, aside from the waveshine (and the lead-in) to jab. I don't see anything that could be reversed. Maybe the waveshine turnaround --> up tilt?

He's talking about being able to do a Thunders' Combo when the opponent is behind you, i.e. going backwards with the waveshine instead of forwards. The tricky part for this is turning around after you've done a reverse waveshine then jabbing the fallen opponent. So it's shine -> backwards wavedash -> turn around -> jab -> whatever comes next.

He's talkin about when you waveshine with your back facin your opponent so you have to turn around and punch your opponent, which is essentially a reverse thunders and that's what I call it. It takes some precision but it's nothin too hard really. Just practice doin backwards waveshines and turn around with the punch. Dependin on how fast and far you can waveshine, you might not have to work so hard at it, all it would take is just you turning around for the punch. When you get comfortable enough with it in open space, then just start tryin it on Fox and Falco and then real opponents, so on and so forth.

Just don't turn around in the shine, turn around after the wavedash. If you jab a bit late, they have a higher chance of being able to roll after the jab, so be ready to react to that with either a regular chase, or you could go for the uair as fast as you can after the jab, so if they roll you can still catch them. Low chance they'll get up attack lol.

Since we're on the topic, is it possible to thunders combo jigglypuff? He falls from the Shine but is hit back really far so I never really seem to be able to WD up to him fast enough to jab.
I have the PAL version by the way, maybe his physics and traction are different in the NTSC version, I don't know.

Don't know if you can. If it's possible, then Jigglypuff is probably the hardest to Thunders. I've had some trouble with some of the others too, but I think they are combo-able.

You can do it either way, turning around in the shine and forward wavedashing, or turning around during the wavedash. Turning around in the shine takes a minimum of three frames, and I'm not sure how long turning around in the wavedash takes. It's at most one frame, but you might be able to do the jab on the same frame you turn around, kind of like a pivot. Either way, reverse wavedashing from the shine seems to be 2 - 3 frames faster, but that's assuming you wavedash on the first 2 - 3 available frames after connecting with the shine. So if you can do reverse waveshines with frame-perfect (or very close to frame-perfect) timing then that would be your best bet, otherwise turn around in the shine.

And Mike, you can do Thunder's Combo against every character that falls. I've tested this. I don't know if you can do reverse Thunder's Combo against every character that falls. It's stupidly hard if you can.

I've always found reverse wavedashing tricky because you have to jump, then input direction, THEN airdodge, you have to think differently. Anyways, do you know if some characters fall shorter than others after shine? Who would be the best to practice on.

Yeah some characters go farther than others. I don't know the exact order, but I suspect it correlates with horizontal character weight, which would place them from easiest to hardest:

Mewtwo / Roy / Young Link
Falco / Pikachu
Fox
Kirby
Jigglypuff / Mr. Game & Watch
Pichu
