How do you guys do retreating arials? I know how to do retreaing Nairs but not fairs, uairs, and dairs. It's hard to perform because of the DI for these moves. Should I use c-stick arials and DI away/toward the opponent?

EDIT: This is in the MK section because he does very nice arials and spacing with arials. Plus, I like using him xD.

use the c stick and move it to the left while on the joystick you move it to the right. (when face left )

Ah thanks guys. But, I figured it out by myself when some ppl were talking about how good it is hehe. I quickly move my stick counter clockwise from Diagonal down right to up, then to left (in a circular motion) ( applies if opponent is on my right). This allows me to do a SH. At the same time, i move my c stick to the right.
When opponent is on the left, i do vice versa.

that's a complicated way of explaining it lol . I just use the control stick to di while using the c-stick to do the attacks.

I do my retreating arials in the method I described because it's hard to SH with tap jump. Also, it's uncomfortable doing SH with X/Y, C sticking, and DI. You would have to use your index finger on the jump and thumb on the c stick.

Personally, I use Y to jump, the C stick for aerials (strictly if I'm FFing them or retreating, control stick otherwise), and control stick for DI.

For best DI use both, so you an be sure to ASDI in the optimal direction.

I use Y for grab, Z for jump, and tap jump off.
