I'm a n00b here so if this thread is in the wrong place etc please move/close/delete or whatever you do to remedy this kind of situation.

Alright it's safe to assume here that everyone here is a gamer and with gamers at one point or another need to replace their old beat to h*** controllers with newer ones.

What brands do you trust?

The reason I ask this is because I'm looking to replace some old controllers of mine for GC and also PS2

Any console controller is welcome and for the love of peace DO NOT START FANBOY/FLAME WARS OVER WHICH CONSOLE IS BETTER.

i say nyko, my wii remote rechatgables work great! and the recharger itself is great but that is for wii, for gamecube, i'd say anything that has a turbo option

Just get the controller from the company that made the console

If you have a GC, get a Nintendo GC controller.

If you have a PS2, get a Sony PS2 controller.

Simple as that. 3rd party controllers never work that well anyways. Either they break down real easily or they come with defects.

Don't forget 3rd party controllers...just don't feel right in your hands.

Get official controllers. Sure, they cost more but it's worth the peace of mind and quality that you get.

Actually, they do, but they aren't as good as the regular ones. Madcatz makes one.

not all 3rd party controllers are bad.. I actually like the icon gc controller over the nintendo, $11, slightly fatter and lacks precision in the analog stick, but I never really liked the over precision on the original, plus the original's joystick is a bit loose and this one has never gotten loose yet.

3rd party wiimotes? I know a bunch of them dude. Nyko, Madcatz, Wu (a brand name that mimics Wii but with a line connecting the 2 i's)
