this is incredible, but it only works with items on, which is sort of a buzz kill to me

this is awesome :D
how exactly did you figure this out?
just an idea, but would it be possible to use the damage from falcon's f-smash so there would be a fire knee or something? cause that would be even more awesome :D

Does falcon get his jump back after doing an aerial falcon kick?
It would be cool if you could add the eletrical effect of the knee by borrowing it from one of pika's or ness's moves and add the sound effect from link's dair hitting the ground without being z cancled. NOW you have MELEE Falcon. Maybe add the gentlemen too. Good job on the knee code.

We can use the animations of other character, but we cant use the Hitboxes from another character, we are working on this :S

The Knee looks wrong because he's using his right knee.

The real KoJ is Falcon's left knee.

Well, they obviously used the animation from Falcon's jab combo, where else are they supposed to get it from...

DAT KIRBY... is lookin' so nice. (Though, 64 Kirby [nair] + Melee Kirby [uair] would = much greatness. :}D )

Also, The Knee... haha. Certainly on the right track. Really cool stuff. :)

coming from the 2 most "ROFL xD falcon punch!!!!11" users on the 64 boards
See now, rpotts is too classy to respond to that, but I'm not quite that classy, so I'll just leave a comment implying that everyone knows that there is one complete ******* in this equation, and that they also know who it is.

Hint: it's not rpotts.

Nice job! I tried this yesterday, it was fun. ^^

How come the knee hits twice? Once at the beginning and once at the end. I think it's because the first hit is supposed to be the "strong" knee and the second the "weak" part of the attack. However, you can sometimes get the two hits in one fair.
Tell me if I'm wrong. =)

@ Nokaubure and Co: Can you try to make the enemy be electric shocked like with pika downair for example? would make it a bit closer to melee knee ^^

Thanks this would help expand SSB64's character roster so who is next on your to do list? (I am not trying to rush you, just asking who is going to be released next.)

In fact, danny has finished the Melee Link (The dash atacck send upwards and the up b is like....... with the new up b link would be top tier in the recovery tier list xDDDD)

melee link dash attack wouldn't be bad, with the physics of this game it becomes viable at low percents for a possible techchase, and at mid-percent it would probably work like u-tilt

surprisingly im not psyched for up-b though, he's still extraordinarily edgeguardable, it just means he can now off-ledge edgeguard better and he doesn't get killed by mild breezes at 10%

Wow. I'm the exact opposite as you. I love me some Smash64 Dash attack, but Melee's UPB is just so amazing.

and lose the boomerang? go away

arrows have a sucky trajectory, even in melee they arent anywhere near good compared to bombs/boomerang

im assuming you mean implanting melee arrows because that's what the topic is about, putting melee moves in 64 right?

i wouldn't mind melee up-b - the grounded up-b trajectory (and lack of a weak hit? i dunno) kicks ***, but im saying that melee link has an okay recovery because he has a bunch of options, melee up-b without hookshot, etc would merely give him a higher up-b with the same sucky options or coming in from below or going high to get b-air'd by anybody

i uh, never said lose the boomerang.
i meant forward B = boomerang N-B= arrows.
but yeah i just realized if you do that then the soft boomerang throw isnt doable.
so fine screw the arrows.
hookshot recovery would be nice.

EDIT:
ZOMG SOFT BOOMERANG IS DOABLE WITH BUFFERING! ARROWS yee

yeah, then the hookshot could made some use out of itself, instead of a bad grab.
